Can anyone advise if the alarm function allows you to set an alarm and then if the phone is turned off, the alarm will still awake and sound?

I'm planning to buy this phone... My concern is that how can i transfer my data (msgs, contacts & calendar entries) from my N73 to this??? Is that possible???
Also, the review says that it can store 500 sms in the memory. but i have a habit of saving my msgs. At present I have more than 2000 msgs in my Nokia... Does it actually handle only 500 msgs or more???
Need an urgent advise on this please...

02 olek, 23 Apr 2009hi guys i am interested in buying a samsung F480.pls can s... moreMy wife owns this phone and the battery life is exceptionally good compared to other Samsung phones.I own an Omnia I900,my eldest son an I Phone 3G & my youngest son a Samsung Innov 8. F480's touch screen is good & the Omnia's is acceptable. However as far as the touch screens are concerned there is nothing to touch the IPhone.F 480 & Omnia's cameras are acceptable but not outstanding. Innov 8's camera is the best among all the phones those are available in the market at present. In conclusion, I would rate F 480 as a cute little fella with powerfull features.

They make the Sony Bravia plasmas, they manufacture the memory that goes into ipods. iPhones are a crap, Ive worked in mobiles for years and I feel sorry for those marketing victims who think apple make good products. Apple is all about restricting users into paying more by having to buy proprietory products. Look at itunes ffs! I would advise anyone to delve deeper into the capabilities of other brands before purchasing apple... you might be surprised.

Oh i would prefer the bold over the F480. Althought the samsung has touch screen and a better camers the bold has WIFI. But the blackberry is overrated.

I also have a problem connecting phone to PC through USB cable, also is it possible to change the message received alert, the keyboard does tend to lock up can any one advise.

So,.... I put my simcard back into my Nokia 6500 Classic and the Samsung F480 is going to the safe. Maybe I'l give it to a relative?
