thinking of buying this phone and read the comment on the F500, don't bother getting the F500, shocking write up n phone looks pants, get this one or if you want more gadgets go for the Omnia... p.s you guys who are having trouble with the F480.... i think you may have the chinese rip off crap

My main menu colour is black, but when i select something from there (messages, my files ect.) and go to it, my background becomes white. Does anyone know how i can keep my background black all the time?

Have had this phone for a few weeks and Im happy, the touchscreen is brilliant! When I first bought it, I searched the box 20 times looking for a stylus and never found one, was a bit disappointed but to tell you the truth, there's no need. The 5mp is brilliant but my only problem is how do you transfer music and pictures using bluetooth.???

This phone is fab in every way possible for internet for simple use in a clear and understandable way best phone i ever had...Pitty theres no wifi like iphone though thats the only thing missing to make it great competition for iphone

For those guys who wants to change the colour of their menu background from white to black, you have to upgrade its firmware. The older firmwares got a white menu back ground while the newer firmwares got black menu background. My current firmware is F48FXEIA1, it has new widgets, new fonts, pink focus colour and black background on the main menu.
As mentioned on the previous posts that this unit has no theme, therefore it is logical that you cannot customize the background menu of this phone and for me it is not a big deal.
As for those people who hated this phone because it doesn't have stylus, well guys, this phone uses heat transfer from your fingers, therefore you don't need stylus to make this beautiful creation work.
It doesn't have WIFI but it doesnt bother me at all because I enjoy browsing the net using my laptop and it is always better that way.
This is my very first Samsung mobile phone and I never regret that I have purchased it. I don't have problems with its performance, I'm using 8GB SD card for my F480 and I don't have any issues with speed or data retrieval.
Style: SUPERB!
Features: FANTASTIC!
Performance: BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!
Price: WORTH IT!

is there anywhere that i can get a more detailed manual to change settings. i just bought phone and about to throw it away and take my old samsung out of
cupboard.
can u extend the sms space- very short ?
when u go to options on messwages can u change the order of options i.e. delete should be close to top.
