Hello im 12 and im thinking of buying this phone i dont wanna put a sim card or a number just for apps like insta,snap,netflix,youtube and games stuff like that.So is it worth it?

Had this phone as an emergency replacement for a previous well loved Samsung. Why oh why did they move the fingerprint sensor from the back to the right hand side? It is not as user friendly as my A21.

I found out after buying an A12 that it doesn't have a magnetometer / magnetic field sensor. I never even knew what that sensor was until I tried using several apps I downloaded for stargazing, following the International Space Station, and even just a basic compass app. That's when I got the message that none of the apps would work without the magnetic sensor. If I had known, there's no way I would have bought this phone. Even the relatively cheap LG phone I had before this came with the sensor.
Other nitpicks about the phone: Some of the areas of the screen, mostly near the edges, seem to have dead spots that don't respond to taps. The location of the rear camera is awkward compared to other phones (my fingers kept showing up in photos).
Other than the magnetic sensor issue, it's a basic phone that does everything adequately, and that's about the best I can say for it.

Maybe somethings wrong with yours. The battery life is really good lasts more than two day.

It's a good enough phone for me. Great battery life. Screen size is large enough. Camera is good enough. It's a bit overpriced though.

Purchased Samsung A12 last February this year..my unit overheats and shuts down and cant sustain prolonged usage especially during Webinars and Video Calls..Not a wise buy, guys!!

If you had a lightbulb that worked forever, all lightbulb companies would go bankrupt. The point is that the producers will always count on you coming back for another phone every two years, that's why no phone will ever compare to the ones you had before, they make them worse every generation. Buy a low budget phone like this, because in two years you will be shopping again, but you won't miss the 1000$ you pay for a high end model that breaks the same way

It's an okay phone in the budget phones category. Performance, camera, software, battery and build quality is solid.
If you're on a tight budget and you're looking for a capable phone for everyday use, A12 is good for you but if you're willing to spend some few extras, better go for A21, A30s, or A32. The A21, A30s and A32 comes with amoled display and a faster processor.

This phone is a pos...I wanted the next tier up a52 I believe but the only way to get it for boost is mail order and I needed a phone same day so I settled. Wish I wouldn't have wasted my money
