Really hate the screen of this phone. Touch is unreliable. Typing is unreliable. There is a delay response when scrolling or typing. I think the screen design being curved in the edges causes this. So annoying.

Is the A14 5G supposed to have an update in 2024, in the U.S.? Right now, mine is still on one from Autumn 2023. And it shows nothing when I check for an update.

The U variant of this phone, with the Dimensity 700, has Camera2 API and RAW support.

Ifugonahatehvabrain, 02 Jul 2024I agree with your take on Chinese phones, after all most or... moreIt is your comment that is unbelievably ignorant. If you honestly think the CCP has a hand in all these Chinese brands, you should get your head checked for Kool-aid flooding.

I mean... When you have independent investigations out of Australia and even the US debunking any and all claims of the CCP having a hand in these companies; the owners of these companies actually being at odds with the CCP (for dxample: BBK co-founder was once sent to a re-education camp in China and fled to the US); and when Australian investigations showed that the propaganda against these companies was the result of rival brands paying out mass media...

I would also like to point out that it's just plain racist to assume these brands are all under the CCP umbrella. It's the new yellow fever.

And it's funny that you accuse these brands of being essentially CCP arms, considering the absolutely horrible history of the US and their corporations.

iHate, 29 Sep 2023Isn't this a trojan infested chink junk like every sin... moreI agree with your take on Chinese phones, after all most or all are partially owned by the Chinese Communist Government and that's the truth. But Samsung is South Korean, so if you say "they're all the same" then go ahead be ignorant and show the rest of the world how dumb you are.

One being a full hd screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 400ppi pixel density. The inclusion of the Exynos 1330 chipset would push the device into unparalleled regions of performance that is not common with most entry-level devices. Therefore competing with some mid-range chipsets in terms of speed. Battery life though might only favor the Dimensity 700 version of the device, for those who just want a device and are not power users.

Just some dude, 16 Jun 2024Can anyone who has the Exynos 1330 version please tell me h... moreYeah, I also have an A51 currently and the signal reception strength sucks.

Anyway... The A14 Exynos 1330 version has good signal reception strength. Its modem can't compare to it's closest Qualcomm equivalent (SD 695 or SD 4 Gen 1) but is actually better than the Dimensity 6020 and 7020 in its closest competitor devices (Oppo A79 and Moto G54 respectively) which are well known for decent reception. You can go for it without issue if you live in an area with decent coverage. Only if you live in a remote area I would advise looking into something with a Qualcomm SOC.

Also the A14 Exynos 1330 version has impressive wi-fi reception range compared to the A79 and G54. It maintains a usable wi-fi signal out to 12 metres (40 feet) even with two walls between it and the router.

I have loved my previous Samsung phones, until the a14 5g. This phone has horrible camera operations and pictures have a bad quality. Most pictures are blurry. Samsung should provide a replacement phone that isn't a piece of failed technology. The phone lags or freezes. Only thing good about it is the screen size. I am so disgusted by the quality of this phone. I have purchased low end Samsung devices in the past. The a14 5g is the worst phone I have ever had the disappointment of purchasing. I will no longer purchase a Samsung phone as the quality appears to be going down the toilet. My a8 was by far more superior than the a14 5g.. I figured the a14 5g would be better..What a freaking let down.. Most of the time I want to pitch this at the wall as the frustration this phone causes is unbelievable. It does have screen mirroring but good luck trying to find it. I found it once.. Well this is nothing more than a paper weight. SAMSUNG SHAME ON YOU FOR SELLING SUCH A PEICE OF GARBAGE. My faith in Samsung phones is no more.

Can anyone who has the Exynos 1330 version please tell me how good mobile data signal reception and call quality is? I have a chance to get this in 8 GB RAM configuration for dirt cheap from someone I know. I liked the device as a whole, but I want to know about signal strength. I had Galaxy A51 previously, and it was disappointing in that one thing.

Equa, 09 Jun 2024Probably THE BEST PHONE for its price. It has so many se... moreYeah. It is indeed a great device for the price. And certainly a far better deal than the A15 5G.

In fact, the Exynos 1330 iteration is actually a whopping 25-30% more powerful than the A15 5G on the CPU side. This is because the Dimensity 6100+ in the A15 is roughly comparable to the Dimensity 700, while the Exynos 1330 keeps up with the Dimensity 900 (same CPU configuration). It also fairs as well on the network side of things, with surprisingly stable network connections for an Exynos modem (though the speeds in browser benchmarks could be better).

You also get a high quality LCD display with no PWM. Meanwhile, the A15's Amoled flickers at 90 Hz, indicative of low quality. And with the A14 you get a dedicated memory card slot instead of shared.

Literally the only drawback with the A14 (Exynos version) is the much slower charging.

Probably THE BEST PHONE for its price.

It has so many sensors, 90Hz display (according to GSMArena), 5G 128 GB, a great CPU.

No wonder it is the most sold phone.

But, I'm also used to the Galaxy S phones, since I upgrade every year to a new one. I use my A14 5G phone for a landline replacement. Using an Xink BT HD adapter to link with the phone over BT and provide a dial tone to my home cordless phones. So 99.9% of the time my A14 5G just sits there in it's cradle. For the one or two times a month I actually use and touch the screen on the phone, it works fine for that

The design is bad. It is hard to pick up the phone due to its fat and slippery borders while on a table. You are prone to dropping it. I noticed the lcd is unreliable and the touch tends to lock up for no reason. While charging there is no option to show the charge progress while plugged and screen is asleep.

Anonymous I, 27 Mar 2024I saw on the US Samsung website that the Samsung Galaxy A14... moreIsn't that one update more than their original plan? That sounds great!

I picked up a refurb A14 5G to use as a home phone replacement, a few weeks ago. I coupled it with an Xlink BT adapter, which gives a dial tone to my cordless phones.

So using it works just like when I had a landline from FiOS. Only it costs me just $6 a month, with US Mobile.
