Cameras and battery are the upside of this phone otherwise seem pretty damn mediocre.

Manufacturers don't reveal actual cost. Why would they do so ?
We know top tier phones parts cost because some enthusiast took the responsibility to do the research and set the cost. These type of works are normally reserved for flagships/popular phones.
As it's an A series phone you can count it's cost to be around 90-120$ for parts only(without labor or other cost such as marketing or development)

Get the A31 for $10 more cmon guys...
The camera on A31 is so much better, other than the 48mp camera being the same, 5+5 is better than 2+2
Also the A31 has a better screen (AMOLED vs LCD) and higher resolution (1080p vs 720p)
