I recently purchased an A24 for my wife, but it is so loaded with crapware and advertising that she went back to using her old A7 2017. What an insult from Samsung having me pay for a piece of s---.
I would not recommend this product to anyone.
So I got stuck with a $200 paper weight.

Is there anyone has problems with virtual proximity sensor on this A24 (like not turn off display during a phone call and cover screen by your hands, ears? Then display on again when not covered)
Some one had problem not turn off display in S20 fe on reddit, xda.
    Tks

The same goes for 4 Android updates and 5 years of security patches, which is only mentioned in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Which is unfortunate, considering the A22 5G and A23 4G support it, and (look at that) Gorilla Glass 5.
If the A24 had Gorilla Glass 3 (like the M12, M21s, F41, A30 and A20 did), that would be something.

However, if it's any consolation, the A24's screen apparently doesn't scratch easily, unlike the back.

                No Corning Glass protection?

Samsung Galaxy A24 The phone is excellent in all aspects, the body of the phone and the thickness with the design and the mod used are very good. The company that manufactures the phone screen is excellent, but please we want the screen brightness to be 600 nits (peak) for me that this is the normal level for eye protection, but for 1000 nits (peak) it is annoying and causes damage to the eye and no one uses the phone in sunlight. I tell you there is no need for me to use this increase in screen brightness. 600 nits (peak) is sufficient and excellent and gives the eye comfort during scenes The hour is long, please, Samsung. We want the same quality of this A22 screen or screen as the 4G version, but the screen brightness is 600 nits (peak) I hope that this will be achieved in the A24 model next year.

I bought the Galaxy A52s in 2021 when it was released, but unfortunately, it got stolen earlier this year in March. So, I had to wait for the release of the Galaxy A24. Before this, I had a Galaxy A20 when it first came out, and I knew the A24 wouldn't disappoint me. I've been using the A24 for 4 days now, and honestly, I don't miss my A52s much. The A24 performs well in almost all areas, and the camera is decent. The Helio G99 chipset handles everything well, though there is some occasional lag, but not too much. The speaker's sound is there but not very loud. I'm happy that it has NFC, as I can make payments using my phone and don't need to carry a wallet. The display is good, and the battery is also good. If you're looking for a good phone without breaking the bank or getting into debts, I highly recommend the Galaxy A24. You won't regret it.

I paid R$899 (+/- US$185) and it seems to be a nice smartphone, although the back can scratch and get dirty with fingerprints quite easily, and the notch, virtual proximity sensor, the thick edges on the sides and top and the cameras ultrawide and macro are weaknesses.
It has FM Radio, One UI complete with Smart View, two taps to turn the screen on and off, NFC, AOD, Samsung Capture, Good Lock support (although not in the Galaxy Store yet), but screen recorder and Bixby Vision are not available.
                          Battery is strong point.
And there's even a 15W charger in the box.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2023Please which Samsung a series is the best ????? A24 or 34 ?🙄Which is the best? Obviously the A24 as it's cheaper. ha ha.
I bought the A24 because it has room for 2 sims and a memory card - I like to have my photos on a memory card, and I need to have two sims as I travel between two countries often.
And because it does everything pretty well. Battery life is particularly good, another have-to-have feature. Bluetooth range is better than my previous phone. It's pretty clean - in terms of useless and stupid built-in software. The side fingerprint reader it good as well.
Summary: for the price it's great!

Personally, ... morei don't really care about the notch anyways. seeing its chipset being equal to exynos 9825 (known for running the note 10 series) in terms of performance i believe it would have enough horsepower to run games. Also considering the a24 only has 90hz (which is balanced but a downgrade from my old phone which supports 120hz), not really speedy performance and the lack of ip resistance, the a34 would be a wiser choice, would be worth saving a little for this ip resistance, higher refresh rate, and better performance

Personally, I found that the camera is wonderful, especially the 48mp mode. The 120 hz + amoled screen is amazing. I didn't choose the a24 because of the bottom bezel, which is very thick. And if you are wondering, the phone doesn't get very hot when playing games. The thing that i don't like is the water drop notch, but because of the amoled screen, you will not notice it while watching videos because of the dark regions in the right and left.

Should get this phone or save for the A34?
Unlikely to buy A14 and down as their software runs one ui core and they only have 2 years of android upgrades
