12/256 is kinda disappointing considering the competition has stepped up the game to 12/512 and samsung is lightening the boxes by not offering screen protector, case and even charger now

rassolo, 15 Feb 2024From day one at launch, the A35 will face its co-brand A54 ... moreDoubt it. When this is released, Samsung will probably pull the A34 and A54 out from their retail inventory. Consumers going into their stores will only see the new A35 and A55 pairs. Samsung has quite tight control of their inventory.

I'll bet when this is released, the supply for the A34 series will suddenly dry up as Samsung pulls them from their stores. Samsung did this on the A52s when they released the A53. Consumers have no choice but to buy the newer model.

well, they shaved the width down a bit, but still, the screen to body ratio is kinda embarrassing for a brand like Samsung. Even cheap Chinese brands like Realme can achieve higher screen to body ratio using LCD. Even most recent Xiaomi phones have higher screen to body ratio than this.

Another crap without audio jack, what is the point of absence it? Cost cutting?

DM, 12 Feb 2024Exynos = Battery draineryet it still lasts well enough for normal use...?

not a bad phone actually, looks like a good enough phone to use, though i don't get why this has more ram in theory than an a55 making this a better deal.

bezels look more nice tbh, rare samsung W??

If we compare these three models - the A34, A35 and A54 - all have very similar capabilities, similar speeds and rather similar price. Potentially in the coming month, they will cannibalise each other. Bad for product sales but is good for the consumer. All three are decent, value midranger and the differences are aesthetics. Consider the following:-

                    # A34 has the widest waist at 78mm and has a U notch
                    # A35 and A54 both have the modern punch hole screen.
                    # A34 and A35 have 6.6 inch screens while...
                    # A54 has a smaller 6.4 inch screen therefore is more petite, with a 76.7mm waist and 158mm height.

It is worth mentioning the A54 receives monthly software updates while the others are quarterly.

The upcoming A35 speed is slightly better than the A54. Their geekbench score 2900 vs 2797, see link below. Slight improvement is expected for eg the new A25 scored better than the A33.

But wonder how a35 which is confirmed to have same chipset as a54 gonna perform...

From day one at launch, the A35 will face its co-brand A54 and A34 first, before other competitors.

It's important for Samsung to market this phone with '12GB' because it will be competing with Honor and Huawei that have started doing this on budget phones. Yes, Samsung have had extended ram for ages, but they haven't made much fuss about it yet.

It's outright hilarious how anyone thinks this phone will have 12GB RAM, if the S23 FE and speculations of the A55 don't have it 🤣🤣🤣
