It is not fast charging. It takes 2hours to fully charge. I expect more for the camera but it is not good enough. This is not what I expect for Samsung. Buying Samsung, you are just paying for the name not the quality. Not pleased with this.

amoled plus 128 GB and 5g at a sales price under 300, from Samsung taking the leap. Presently using moto power but after a year the battery is starting to run out fast.

I bought the A42 5G about 3 weeks ago. Absolutely love it! The display is great, the overall performance is also great as is the battery life. It also came with Android 11. The fingerprint scanner also works great. And it has 128GB of memory. I use AT&T prepaid ($30/month plan) and never plan to use 5G. Also, I don't use my phone a lot, mainly for phone calls, so I don't take pictures or videos with it, use it to play games, etc. If I want to do those things I use a "real" camera or my 12" tablet which has a much larger screen. But just in case I need to take a picture, or check my email or get/send a text, I have the phone. This model replaces my 4 year old ZTE Blade Spark that had only 16GB of memory. I can now load a few more apps because of the 128GB of main memory. If you're the type of person that "lives" with your phone, this model may not be for you, but for me it is just great! There is a problem with the up and down volume buttons, they seem to hang up or freeze. Anyone with the same problem as mine?

720p on 6.6in display w/60hz refresh rate = great battery life. 750G SoC = great performance.

Battery life far exceeds what I was getting on my S20 FE. Camera seems very good, too. Great colours and details. Screen is great, despite the lower resolution. I got it on Amazon Germany for £235. In the UK, it would have cost me £319. I'm very happy with it.

A42 5G gives excellent battery life because of the lower resolution display (which isn't even bad (I've seen it in person) and larger battery (compared to A52 5G). For me, battery life is very important. Of course, we look at our screens when using the phone so screen is important, too, but as I said, it's not even bad. As for 60hz only, that is enough for me. I've had 90hz and 120hz phones and will always choose 60hz as it's been enough for me all these years, and it will ensure I get the best battery life compared to a higher refresh rate. In the past, not once have I thought "Oh, I wish the refresh rate was higher".

Think about it. Sure, the SD750G isn't the absolute best, but the 720p will mean your graphics will just fly. The 5000 mAh battery is also gaming-friendly. 60hz is... erm... (cmon Sammy, why???) but other than that, budget gamers have a pretty capable device that actually performs up to flagship level in terms of graphics.

About the user experience and where it matters is where the A42 5G has to rely on the naive and gullable and desperate for 5G despite its downsides, UK Market here btw where we don't actually get the A52 4G with Samsung but can be found on Amazon, yes you loose 5G and slightly less performance on paper but check below if you do find the A52 4G for sale.

                                    A42 5G £319(UK) vs A52 4G Aprox £320(Amazon UK)

                                    Display: 720p 60Hz vs 1080p 90Hz
                                    Chipset: 750G vs 720G SoC
Main Cam: 48MP No OIS vs 64MP with OIS
                                    Selfie Cam: 20MP vs 32MP
                                    Battery: 5000mah vs 4500mah

The A52 4G has a sharper 1080p display with 90Hz, a bonus as it's the thing that you look at most and gave to use to interact with the device.

The A52 has Optical Image Stabilization to improve the sharpness and quality of photos by reducing natural shake

                                      specs doesn't make sense
