perfect phone love this awesome instrument for calling,texting and chatting etc...i got A5 since it was released till now...GREAT....

I enjoy this phone. I am running Android 6.1.1 Mashmallow. Although Android 4.4.4 KitKat is the pre installed OS. It was upgraded to Android 5 Lollypop and then to Android 6. But there are precautions before you upgrade :
1. Upgrade it on wi-fi network.
2. Restore it to the pre-installed OS before upgrade. E.g if you've upgraded it to lollypop and you want to upgrade it to Mashmallow, do a factory reset before upgrade to prevent hanging and loss of features.
This is my first Android phone and it makes me to forget my laptop on my table.

My phone just 1 year plus then today suddenly hang, hard reset also can't. what a lousy phone. I will never buy sumsung phone again.

This is "so far" the best phone I had. I have it for almost 2 years now, and it's still going strong. No lag whatsoever it's still going brand new. The battery is really good, no problem with that either, with my usage it lasts about 2 days (and I'm on Facebook a lot and write a lot of messages). The quality is amazing on this phone, and it's slim design makes it look very modern and up to date.

This has got to be the worse phone on the market.The price is very mid range and affordable ( compared to all other smart phones out there) but there are just way too many problems with this phone.So when i got this phone within 3 hours it froze on me with 80% battery life and because the battery pack is non-removable i had to wait for the phone to die. The following morning (once it died) i charged it and it froze within 2 hours (unbelievable). I brought it back to the Samsung store and i was given a brand new phone, hoping and wishing that this issue wouldn't occur again. As the day progressed it worked fine no issues until that night. i placed it on the charger as it upgraded and when i woke up the phone wouldn't turn on i went back to the store and exchanged it for a new one. Now on my 3rd A5 and the same issue happened the following day it just wouldn't turn on but this time when i go to exchange the phone there was a total of 4 people complaining about the same issue. So im now on my 4th A5 and would you believe it once fully charged and left on the charger it doesn't want to turn on. This phone has given me so much grief with all the travel I've done to get it exchanged and hoping its working. Not to mention that this had all occurred within a 2 week time frame, i have all the receipts for the exchanges and this time im getting my money back. SAMSUNG FIX THIS ISSUE , THIS ISN'T WHAT I EXPECT FROM A HUGE COMPANY
WORST PHONE ON THE MARKET.

i am using samsung galaxy a5 sm 500 G 11month now phone when factory data set the take time 45 to 50 minute when i update app take too much time wrost of money i never go with samsung mobile

actually 2 year ago i take samsung galaxy A5 but all the time problemm are ocure.....2 time led are broken......now again led is break what i do...?...i already waste many money on this what i do???.....

Hello guys. I have almost one year using a samsung galaxy a5 and I am facing a problem with this phone. It doesn't allow me to make a selective focus in pictures I take and to make the background blur. How can I do this? I love photography and I do use a lot both cameras of the a5, but I really want to do some selective focus and blur background pictures. Does anyone know how can I solve this thing?
