No. 1 sent back because the fingerprint sensor sucked
No. 2 bought again because the august update fixed the well known 1% accuracy and made it 60%. It had a red shade on the upper half of the display, so I returned it.
No. 3 had a completely yellowish display
No. 4 had a reddish display again
No. 5 good display. I kept it and accuracy was as exepcted 60%. I have dry fingers so it doesn't work better than that.
And then they crippled it for two months (for some even longer). Don't be delusional and misleading. Mine is not defective and neither is yours. It simply is immature tech they have put into the phone. "Extreme minority" is the same lie as Apple says "a small number of users" when there is a recall program. The A50 wasn't the only affected device from Samsung with the crippling November update.
I have gone through five of these and know exactly how bad everything is. I put up with the terrible speaker and camera but after one bad patch after another I'm fed up. You enjoy your A50 but please don't complain after a year or two when nothing works anymore. It's not build to last and the quality standards for lower end models are bad.
You are a prime example of someone who should have limited or no access to the internet at all xD

It gets rid of the error but gives a different error if you scan the sides of your thumb instead of the middle only (while registering). I installed it so I could sell it but this will not improve it by much. The bad hardware can't be fixed with software. You will still have to lick your thumbs if they are dry. It works 60% at the time just like before October, so neither faster nor slower. The unlocking animation is still a laggy mess though.

TrashA50LMAO, 11 Jan 2020So will the heat make a defect to the phone? Or its normaly... moreUnder load it is normal to get hot. Most CPU's and GPU's on PC have limits up to 90C. Since a phone has lower power delivery I would say it's normal to be 50-60C in intensive games.

It's normal but it also isn't designed well. There are thermal pads instead of thermal paste, and not much copper to transfer the heat faster. If you want better thermals you have to buy a phone with better cooling solution. Or if you don't care about warranties like me, you can use thermal paste (Thermal Grizzly or Noctua).

Second, it is not the brand name that made me choose A50, it is the features and the good price.
Third, if a few people like you got defected units, you can use your warranty to fix,software problem can be ruled out by an update,so not a big deal.
Fourth, you absurdly name A50 a trash. Did you test EVERY SINGLE UNIT of A50 and found issues?
Fifth, believe or not there are real bashers that just bash the phone because it is a samsung one,if it isn't you but there are others.
Sixth, I will keep my A50 for at least 3 years, used it 6 months for now and no problem, not going to upgrade to any phone until then. Who knows I may get a phone from another brand until then.

An A50 user, 11 Jan 2020How miserable, I feel bad for the extreme minority of peopl... more90% of the population is dumb. So many people who shouldn't have internet access. Calling everyone with a bad experience a basher, that's classy. You can't even evaluate a device objectively. Everything you buy works perfectly and everyone who had a bad experience is a liar or a basher. Well guess what, there are cheaper phones than this that actually work and are superior in nearly every aspect. You think just because it says "Samsung" on the back it works, it's perfect and it's the best. This phone was obsolete from the day it was sold. Battery draining after half a year and surprise surprise, it is glued in with no pull tabs. Can't replace it so just buy the new A51, am I right? €300 down the drain. If I bought it on release it would have been €350.

No matter if you like it or not A50 is the third best seller phone worldwide and top seller in europe. I don't think a terrible phone would sell like hotcakes unless you say the millions of users are dumb.

Poor battery while using Data and very bad experience with finger print it doesnt work good A30 was much better then A50

The display is good and have better performance than any other mid-range phone, the downside is just the camera. My huawei nova lite can actually shot a nice pic than this a50 with just 16mp.

I guess I'm lucky. I only removed and reregistered my finger print once after August 2019 (can't remember the exact month) update which vastly improved time of unlock.
For all subsequent update, I didn't reregistered finger print again.
I'm not facing finger print problem since August 2019 update.
I do expect battery to last longer when using data though i know it depends on other factors.

Very trash bulsht phone trash camera trash screen trash fingerprint. Good gpu/cpu but heats like u have a LAVA in ur hands while using and playing games like pubg cod... REALLY TRASH PHONE DONT WASTE UR MONEY!

The screen sucks cos you have... morevery true sometimes i need to touch my A50 few times for the screen to wake up & when i pick it up it doesn't wake up most of the time. we also have an old iphone & as soon as you touch it it wakes up. i really understand why a lot of people prefer iphones,they do work as advertised but personally i don't think i can get used to an iphone i prefer the Android Freedom. my next phone will probably be a Sony if they do change the style of their phones & remove the huge top & bottom bezels !! Sony are the best android phones manufacturers
