Sometimes if the screen protector is thick it will move your fingerprint out the scanner focus so no matter what it will fail. My fingerprint scanner works great, I have a thin tempered glass on it.

Fingerprint doesnt work from time to... moreyou are right, i spoke too soon about the January update fixing the under screen finger sensor,well after working fine after the January update all day today it would not recognize my finger,just back to been a pain to use. i believe the finger sensor Samsung used in the A50 is the cheapest one they could find hence why it's very unreliable & no matter how many updates they release they can't improve it. i also strongly advice against buying mid range Samsung phones if Camera is very important to you because it will let you down when you most need it & on those special moments. if you don't like Apple phones then Sony phones are the best when it comes to over all performance specially the camera.

MERQURY , 06 Jan 2020Samsung should do their best to solve the problems of A50 b... moreI had the same problem I had difficulty to register my fingerprint scanner with a screen protector but I succeed after many attempts. Also, it won't work 70% of times. But my screen protector got broke a few days back and I re-register without a screen protector and it got registered easily I disabled my face recognition and using only the finger scanner it works perfectly. I need to check once I put on my screen protector how it works

This phone is garbage. Fingerprint doesnt work from time to time. Camera is all bullshit not even close to my pixel 3 xl.

Samsung should do their best to solve the problems of A50 because it's one of the best
midrange phones. My fingerprint scanner still can't register my fingerprint even after the December update.

The same capacity battery doesn't even last as long as other brands. Camera quality is still bad. I have direct comparisons between a Redmi Note 8, a Galaxy S8 and an A50.
The A50 shoots oversharpened and noisy images with 25MP mode. And with 12MP mode it lacks detail and has alot of noise. 2h more screen on time with Redmi Note 8 and that's the reality, don't deny facts everyone can look up e.g. on this website. A50 has a quiet and tinny speaker. If that speaker is excellent for you I would have my ears checked as soon as possible.

If samsung doesn't resolve bugs and simply spam false info, it's right time to consider other brands than sansung.
The same person uses at 3 user IDs to spam on numerous times on a daily basis.
It created bad impression for me on samsung phones.
Really have to consider if to buy samsung in the future.

I'm experiencing heavy internet buffer in my A50. Even connected to wifi problem still persist. Updates didn’t make any change for this issue.
