Other than that, the A52s has the jack and possibly better soc and gpu. Plus the only phone to consider buying that are 2+ years should be old flagships. Old Budget/midrange are often not worth it as most, newer ones are have better perfomance or atleast have newer software.
The only exception is this year's budget/midrange that are coming out as a downgrade of last years budget/midrange of the same series such as A53 and Xiaomi redmis due to maybe shortage of parts?

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2022Should I just replace my A50 for an iPad or get a newer mod... moreSamsung has removed headphone jack from A53 so if you prefer using wired earphone, A50 is still feasible to get in 2022. Just that the downside now is the battery draining issue if you are a heavy user who have 10h screen time like me, you might need to charge your phone couple of time daily.

Update after 3 years:
1. Phone run slower (very noticeable even when scrolling)
2. Power button almost broke.
3. Battery drain faster.
4. Heat up faster.

Previous update almost broke my usb functionality. 2 out 10 times my mobile recognised by windows. Tried several cables & pc, but no result. But after Feb 22 update usb connection works like the day 1.

After the last update (950 mb) in march my battery is draining to fast. It is almost impossible to use this phone. New i have 1 hour screen on time, and i had 4 to 5 hours screen on time before this update. Does anyone have same problem? I hope this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Bullshit battry, just drain in 3 hours. And bullshit camera.. in the same price other devices loke Redmi, realme are far better..

I have been using galaxy a50 since march 2019 and since then it's working flawlessly and i am satisfied with it :)
There will be no oneui 4 for this device but still it's a great device. :)

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2022I hope that Samsung upgrades it to One UI 4Sadly it wouldnt, whereas Galaxy A is common to have 3 years of software and 4 years of security updates, Android 9 was the primary one that came in the box and Android 11 was the last OS update, it will still have security updates until the end of this year as far as i know
