You'd better wait for the A50s to come out. That's even better than the A50 (40 mp main camera in stead of 25 mp, and more stuff), at just a little higher price. It shouldn't take long, because in the Far East it's already out.

Bought both Sams a50 for my wife and Xiaomi RN7+ for me couple months ago, same 6/128gb version so the price isnt much different (Indonesia).
Now I regret this decision bcause the Xiaomi get worse and worse and the Samsung one only get better with its constant update and fixing.

I have the A30 and on comparing the image in the viewfinder to what I see with the A50, there's barely any difference at all. Anyone else feeling underwhelmed by the image quality?

I bought this phone few days a go and so far I am extremely pleased and satisfied with it! I do not have any of the commonly talked about problems of connectivity and the malfunctioning sensor. I got the November update right out of the box so maybe they fixed it all already.
It's a beautiful looking phone, a great build, but the cons are the front has only GorillaGlass 3 and the back doesn't have any at all, it's plastic. So be careful with it. It's light though and the grip feels just awesome.
Gaming is incredibly smooth on high settings, speaker loud, great interface and a lot of cool tricks and unique features. Cameras are good but to be honest in low light setting they underpreform and pictures look too smoothed out with lack of details. But with right light exposure, the photos come out awesome.
Once again connectivity is just fine all signals maxed even above my expectations. Fingerprint sensor is fast now and if you record your fingerprint wisely it should always recognize it.
I highly recommend it! The only better buys are the Chinese spying equipment, but be wise and avoid it. Xiaomi is even registered as a non-profit organization. That should tell you enough.
Play safe with Samsung and enjoy this premium-like phone at a great price!

Screen 100% Awesome
Battery Good ( Fast drain on gaming but doesnt Overheat )
Gaming : Mid to High Graphics ( Heats on heavy duty game especially Ultra
Wifi : 5G is super fast but needs to be on short range while 2.4G is good. ( Dont know what people complain about their wifi signal )
Camera : Seriously it's 2019 if you complain about camera sucking then you're obviously know nothing about camera. Learn Lightroom and proper angle instead of complaining how crappy a front cam is.

After the last update, my A50 goes smoothly, finger recognition is much better, and the camera improved even more. Very satisfied with my Samsung Galaxy A50 ..
