It has the biggest battery (4000mah vs 3750mah and 3600mah), a triple camera setup which has an unique ultra-wide camera (quality isn't very good, though), a capable and efficient chipset and a SuperAMOLED screen. Exynos 9610 is a very good and efficient chipset but Honor Play has Kirin 970, the flagship chipset of last year, has a much better GPU than the other two. (G72MP12 vs G72MP3 and T830MP3) As a result, Honor Play is the better phone for gaming purposes. Where Honor Play falls behind is the screen. If you like IPS panels, this isn't a problem but Samsung phones with sAMOLED panels have considerably less energy consumption and much higher quality in dark colors. A7 2017 isn't ideal for gaming as Exynos 7880 has an outdated GPU and this may cause inconsistent gaming performance on long term. Aside from the mediocre SoC, A7 is a good phone, too. It is cheaper, still very good for multimedia purposes, social media/internet browsing and has a very good battery life. When it comes to camera, A50 has a higher-res sensor (25MP vs 16MP) than the other two but this doesn't mean higher camera quality. In fact, photos and videos take more storage as the resolution increases.

Can any A50 owners verify/ comment if the latest SAMSUNG updates/ firmware have already fixed the HEAT, battery, WIFI, camera, and finger print scanner issues please? I am waiting to buy A50 if SAMSUNG is working to fix the problems all the way. -thanks

Pyan, 20 May 2019What the heck.my a50 battery drain faster than my previos o... moreFlash your phone in Samsung office ..if it does not fix the issue get a replacement or they should change the board of your phone ..I had that issue in which the battery drains within 3 hours of normal use until the phone was flashed ..

Samsung A 50 is really a worst phone because of its heating issue don't waste money on this phone try better phones than this
even samsung service centre is not supporting this phone A50.
i recently visited the samsung service centre for this heating issue they accepted to issue the DO note after 2 days of observation but they said not to buy the phone again
so samsung service itself not satisfied with this phone
so people dont waste money on this try better phones than this
i really like samsung phones but this is first time i got disappointed .

mohaded, 21 May 2019help me what i choose between : SAMSUNG A50 & HONOR 8X A50 and honor 8x are similar, but A50 has better cameras, a bit stronger processor, USB C port instead of micro USB, and the fancy sAMOLED display.
So in my opinion get A50.

samsung says camera quality improves but it seems the main camera even produces even less lack lustre photos in the day time.
even night time shots have got worse.
besides the selfie seems to be better.
anyone notice this?
i thought only xiaomi does this.
