Gaming Performance Review After Android 10 Update:
It has been a while since I updated to Android10 and the updatis pretty much stable right now.
I downloaded Game Plugin (Samsungs own app for gaming purposes, downloadable from Galaxy Store) to see how my A50 was performing. Here is what I found:
Regular usage temp: 31-32 C
Notably hot temp: 38-39 C
For casual games, everything is smooth and A50 gives you a constant 59-60fps gaming experience.
Game Examples: King of Thieves, Angry Birds (2D games mostly)
Device temp: 33-34 C
Average fps: 59
For midtier games, everything is still smooth as long as the game is optimized for usage. You don't get a constant 60 but you get a "min 55" performance.
Game Examples: Commute , not-from-big-company 3D games like Dr. Driving and such
Device temp: 35-36 C
Average fps: 58 (normally around 59-60 but falls down to 56 when there are some transitions)
For high tier games, smoothness depends on the game heavily. A demanding game will most likely tire your GPU.
Here are two widespread demanding games:
Game: Call of Duty Mobile
Graphic Settings: High
Device Temp: 40-42 C
Average fps: 52 (its around 58 midgame but it falls down when starting a new match. Also not included menu fps is 30fps which is probably set by the game)
Game: Minecraft
Graphic Settings: All additional settings turned on (highest graphics possible)
Device Temp: 41-42 C (highest temp I have ever seen)
-Average fps (For Regular Maps): 55 (kinda consistent as long as there aren't huge groups of mobs)
-Average fps (For Big Maps like 40mb): 47 (when in a village it falls down under 40 but when you are in your base or just walking around its around 50)
-Average fps (For Gigantic Maps over 150mb): 37 (when in big and crowded villages with over 30 villagers or near a giant sugar cone farm it's down to 22fps but normally is over 45fps)
Way too demanding games like Asphalt 9 or PUBG run around 29fps on average (consistantly) but device throttles when it reaches over 40 C temp. So expect some fps drops here and there (not bad enough to disturb you tho)
Non-optimized games like GT Racing 2 (abandoned for being old) run at constant 30fps and the device hits 36 C at max.

So when you sw... moreAll phones take a while to get a fix on GPS, if it is taking longer for you this means that your network is slow and downloading Almanac for the GPS is taking slightly longer. If you have no internet connection at all it takes a few minutes for the phone to download Almanac from the satellites themselves at an awful 10 Bit/s (the satellites fault not gps).
