agui, 08 Mar 2020My biggest fear was about the software. I've always been mo... morefear not my friend, if you care about software and UI, Xiaomi is one of the best, miui gives you lots of options and tweaks, yet its much simpler than other companies UI, updates are frequent and long term, I have used lots of phones from most of brands, to be honest non of them were perfect nor without bugs not even xiaomi, but in comparison Xiaomi was more satisfying, rarely you encounter any problem.

This is really the best phone you can get in the "A" line of Samsung . The phone is fast, a large screen and an excellent camera.

I was thinking about buying this phone but now that i look closely:
- cheap plastic body
- very old gorilla class 3
- still using 1080p resolution
- high price where i live ($450)
- camera cutout which is pretty much the same as a notch
I don't think this phone is worth that much money
Especially when i can buy an S8 for $510, for only $60 more i can get a much better phone with also better design, metal and aluminum and also no notch or cutout. S8 might not have Android 10 but this is irrelevant, i'm still using my phone from 2016 which has Android 5 and i have never had any problems

Ibadat, 10 Mar 2020Can it record incoming / outgoing calls? It is still a beta version. After few months, you can record calls by third app parties.

I got this phone 4 days ago (6GB RAM version) and I'm pretty satisfied, the phone is very snappy, the screen is amazing, battery backup is impressive and the camera is decent, the design is very attractive and I love the new L camera shape. I have no complains about the performance or the build of the phone, great value, worth the money.

Soo i recently purchased the A51, its the 4gb variant and i won't recommend it, i'm speaking from my personal experience here yours may vary. Firstly i noticed that the shutter speed on the camera is rather slow (from the time you press to take a picture to when the actual picture is taken) the image quality is good for a budget phone but if there is any movement going on, more likely than not its going to be blurry, another gripe with the camera, when using the wide angle super steady mode for video i noticed some stuttering in the video ( i taught was just in the view finder but it was present in playback as well) this happens occasionally, camera aside here is the major problem for me.
As i said i have the model with 4gb of ram, sometimes while using the phone it starts freezing up and stuttering very bad the performace slows down drastically, i have very few apps installed and non of them if any run in the background, this was disappoiting because i came from a much older j7 prime d/s a 3 year old phone and i never got any stuttering, the phone works fine after a restart but the reason i'm assuming its the ram is sinply because when i check usage there is only 400mb available when i restart its 1.3gb available, really disappointed in samsung hope its fixed with a firmware update

I've always been more inclined to mi9t but the fact that i've never had contact with miui was giving me some insecurities about the software itself and it's durability (my current and old phones are huaweis).
About Motorola, I've really been looking hard into all the possibilities and I've discarded it because i want my new phone to have an amoled screen.
I guess i am going with mi9t, thanks for the help

OLED turns pixels off displaying black and they take time to turn on again, hence causing a smearing effect. It is especially present at low brightness due to PWM dimming.

agui, 06 Mar 2020Hey guys, I've been wanting to buy xiaomi mi 9t (redmi k20)... moreMi9T is better, because it have glass back, not plastic like A51. Also Mi9T does not have punch hole or notch, at all, so thats a plus, also. Battery is similar, screen is similar, but auto brighness is bettr on Galaxy A51. Back camera is similar (mediocare at best), front camera is better in Mi9T. Software, well, MIUI have more options build in, have frequent updates (od MIUI), also dark mode is dark (black, and on amoled that's a good thing), not like Samsung's OneUI with dark mode but with grey color. Also, Galaxy A51 have Android 10.0 out of the box (so i guess it will be longer support, officialy), then again, Mi9T have Qualcomm, so there is tons of custom roms. I will say, if you want better build, go for Xiaomi (also it's cheaper, now), if you don't like MIUI, but you're ok with plastic build for 200+$ look at some of new Motorola phones, Motorola have clean software, good design, long battery life good cameras, also Android 10.0, so, Motorola One Hyper is good alternative.
