I don't know where some of you bought the phone from and which versions you have, but i have this phone since January with intertec warranty and has been doing all that were specified. Although it is not fast as my 4 year old HTC M10 but i am okay with it and it's my first time using a Samsung phone.

You may not believe this but if samsung is helped by the epidemic it will be because apple is going to experience severe shortages from china, foxconn is now manufacturing surgical masks rather than iPhones LOL.

I just don't understand why the phone lags so much in downloading and updating apps even when connected over a Wifi network with good bandwidth. Camera quality is good. Purchased in the evening of 11/02/2020. Today is 13/02/2020. I'm still waiting for the updates to finish. As of now. Other phones with inferior specs performs much better

And I agree with that.
Now think about that. Yes, it is right when you compare it objectively. And the prices when they were new: 1. A3 2017 was 240 euro 3 months after release 2. S10lite is 650 euro now.
My question is why are they ruining the midrangers and making midrangers S-class and forcing people to pay 450 euro MORE to get a phone which is not a joke with your money.

Prefer A51 size but A71 performances, Hope Samsung launch a smaller screen with Snapdragon 730G chips & A71 cameras.
A51 overall below expectation.

So I got this phone yesterday battery life is superb out thr box after the update its abit quicker by 1.5x in drain if I'm not wrong but coming from a 2 year old Honor 8 I can say the cameras are good not the best when thr lights go down thr phone stays in thr pocket... gaming is ok though the occasional jitter but I'm content with medium graphics in COD..... the video from this phone is good so in general thr phone is a good option not the best so always keep that in mind from where I came from a much better experience and the cherry on top is that screen unlike LCD which drove me mad because of the backlight this one is top notch smooth UI 4K at the front and back so yeah I'd day you should consider it because the phone hits a sweet spot

Tri, 08 Feb 2020Try a hard reset, after backing up everything with Smart switch.Yes i made a hard reset but its the same problem. The phone is lagging again. I think if its software update problem but i made the software updaye yesterday and its again laggin and laggin. I have to restart to solve. Im very angry. Im going to took back the phone and take another a51 or a70 i dont know what to do. Please help me!!!!!!!!

I really appreciate the S10e and how fast it is, I also prefer compact form factor and side mounted fingerprint reader which is extremley snappy. And this experience just makes me appreciate my S10e more. It took me 2-3 days with A51 to run back to S10e and I wanted to use it for a week to see difference between flagship and midrange phone.
A51 is a good phone if priced right. For 200 Euros - go for it.
Good battery and good camera.
As far as fingerprint reader goes - I found myself using pattern more often than not. Additional annoyance was the fact that fingerprint reader won't work with blue light filter, so it will keep switching it off on lock screen for example, which I also dislike.

BG Economist, 11 Feb 2020Please someone make an indoor lowlight test because I am ve... moreFrom 3 years back, low light camera quality has improved and you have wide angle, etc. Also if your phone is 3 years old your battery life should be deteriorating.
Now you are right phones are improving very slowly, if you feel your phone is still good enough, why change it, just get a new battery for it when you need it.

I got this phone as a gift and I tried it out before giving it to my dear younger brother.
So, what I like about this phone is the battery, the 4000mAh battery will last you entire day even with above moderate usage at 100% brightness, then we have a camera which is decent.
Design is something that I like and dislike at the same time, I love the rainbown pattern showing itself on that black back of the phone and I also like how thin bezels of the screen are, but I dislike that camera rectangular on the back, just for the place where it is positioned.
Now, there are some issues, main issue is performance. Even at first day of use I could se significant difference between A51 and my year old S10e even on minor tasks. With longer use more issues popped up, such as the lag and the phone freezing.
Another issue I noticed as soon as I powered it on is - the display. It just isn't that crisp as the one on my S10e, despite the fact that even the S10e isn't as crisp as the regular S10 or the S10+, but S10e display is still pretty decent.
When we talk about the audio, things are just... disappointing. Not only it lacks the quality on the audio itself (using S10 AKG headphones) but to add the insult to the injury - headphones that you get with the phone are just below any standards for midrange phone. Bad quality, there is cheap flimsy feel to them, those earbuds aren't in-ear ones, and are pretty uncomfortable, to make it worse they keep falling out, and the audio you get from them is far from acceptable. They just put them inside the box for the sake of it.
Then annoyance with Bixby since power button is also Bixby button, and much to my frustration I have to go to notification bar then to quick settings and then I have to find power off button. If I use physical button to turn the phone on, why can't I use that same physical button to power it off???
Then we come to the price of this device. I got mine as a gift from my ex girlfriend meaning I didn't pay for it. She got it from someone else and since she is an iOS person the same as her parents, she thought it would be a good idea to give it to me as she tries to make me forgive her for what she did while we still dated...
Back to topic, this phone costs 400 Euros. The max I would pay for it would be around 250 Euros. Ideal price would be 200 Euros.
I paid 460 Euros for my S10e when I bought it months ago, and that device is lightyears away from the A51.
