Very good design with small waterdrop notch, plastic frame and back but solid in hand, top of the class amoled screen with deep blacks. Improved camera back and front,blue color gives unique sensation to the user. Good choice overall

The phone is extremely good when it comes to browsing, gaming as the processor is mainly up to date and watching videos. Great "budget" phone if you will for its price. Only downfall is that the 4gb ram are a bit restricting when it comes to doing a lot of things very fast, but if you have a crappy old phone, this is a STEAL. Camera quality is really good, but as you zoom in it gets a bit pixelated, but without zoom or anything its easily amazing quality.

Note 8 Pro has VERY few LTE bands, so if you travel much....you simply won't be able to use it. It's up to your use case, but I always need more bands, so most of the cheaper Chinese brands don't make the cut. There are definitely exceptions though as sometimes their flagship models have more bands, but charge extra for a global model

The Note 8 Pro is probably faster and less sluggish, but I think the display, ram managment, voice quality, and the cameras are definitely better on the A51. Remember how the note 8 pro had many issues when it came out and got better with updates? The A51 will only get better over time with updates too. Also, I could game on the A51 for hours without heating up at all or throttling because the SOC is not super fast anyway. The note 8 pro will throttle when running at max performance and can heat up a bit.
I have mixed feelings about the Mediatek chipset, so I don't know how it will perform in the long run. Also, I have both phones and I'm just giving my experience without any bias whatsoever.

I got the phone yesterday. Here is my opinion on it so far.
The display is wonderful, and the cameras take awesome pictures in day light. I noticed a bit of noise in the pictures if photos were taken at night. Also, I couldn't find an option that lets me take pictures with the 48 mega pixel camera. The phone stutters here and there and the fingerprint sometimes doesn't work well. I believe it is a software issue and could possibly be improved in the next updates. The one UI 2 is wonderful. Much better than any other UIs I've tested. It feels mature and has plenty of features. For performance, Compared to the Note 8 Pro, it is definitely slower, but under max load, it doesn't drop performance unlike the Note 8 Pro. The fingerprint on the Note 8 Pro is super fast, although its position is quite uncomfortable (At least for me). The plastic is really great, and I prefer it over the glass back since it heats less compared to glass and it will not break as fast, but it scratches more easily (Not a problem if you use a case), It also makes the phone feel lighter. Also, glass is mostly used when the phone has wireless charging, so if the feature is not there, then I see no point of using glass.
So far the phone is good, it could definitely be improved a lot by updates (Hopefully). It is meant for casual people, and not for heavy tasks.
So far I have mixed feelings about the phone. I kind of expected it to be a bit better. For those who have used both. Which one do you prefer more and why?
