Khuan , 15 Dec 2019HUAWEI / HONOR also did the same thing : used the Kirin 710... moreHuawei didn't have any other choice because of the ban they can't install google services on newer chipsets. They have already launched its succesor in china kirin 810 but they couldn't use it outside of china.
Kirin 710 offer similar performance to exynos 9610

But there still many people are going to buy the phones. I believe Exynos 9611 is more powerful than the Kirin 710F.

Dear people who want to buy this:
It's not a huge upgrade over the A50, so if you've got to spend 300$ on something then spend it on phones that offer better stuff for the money.
Not that this doesn't. It does, and so does the A50. I have it and it's never disappointed me (minus the bugged fingerprint, and the washed out photos the camera takes).
You have many phones for the similar price segment that can either perform better, take better photos, or have better battery durability than other phones.
This phone has segments of those all in 1 place. The UI is awesome.
However this is my personal option. If you want to spend less, but still get a budget Samsung A Class device then A50 is yhe answer. Aside from the Macro Camera, A slightly updated chip, more megapixels which don't matter, and a hole in screen cutout which serves the same thing as the waterdrop notch does, but just cuts out the top portion and therefore leaving just a hole in the display, there's really nothing else different than the A50. Similar thing goes for the A71, just based on it's specs.
But hey, at least we can make Area 51 jokes out of this phone now :-)
