John, 19 Aug 2021I wasn't meant for promotion advertising, but I'm... moreAndroid has had 120Hz and 144Hz displays in upper midrange phones fir years at 1/3 to 1/4 the price of the upcoming iPhone 13 pro's! It's not something to be excited about really, although Apple always has a way to exaggerate features that has been in Android midrange phones for years and overhype and market it as something super advanced and cutting edge to justify exorbitant prices of new iPhone models (that are by the way, nothing more than recycled iphone designs with marginally improved hardware and software that really doesn't add anything new to the real world experience). Had Apple released an iPhone model with 5000mAh+ battery and expandable storage as well as dual SIMs slots, and headphone jack, that would have dramatically improved the experience more than some low power consumption oled displays that cost a lot more but achieves less than a bigger battery. It's profit, profit, profit for Apple and its users are lining up to get the new iPhones like crazy when they're nothing but fresh new paint and negligible improvement.

John, 18 Aug 2021Why are you being so harsh, iphones have the best choices o... moreI'm not being harsh. I'm just stating facts explaining exactly why despite Apple being a well known US brand, and despite being a status symbol and endorsed by famous celebrities, with its fashion and prestige oriented promotions and shiny Apple logo, DO NOT appeal to majority of existing Android users.

The newest iPhone SE 2020 only costs $184. It's within the price range of cheap entry level Android phones and is just HALF the price of many midrange Android phones like the A52 5G. Why then oh why isn't Apple selling the $180 iPhone SE 2020 like hotcakes if it is true that Apple offers the best smartphone experience in the entire universe?

Clue: It doesn't, at least for a huge majority of the global population who can surely afford a cheap, spanking brand new, $180 iPhone SE 2020 with the latest 'state-of-the-art' technology and the 'most advanced' iOS version yet.

Hi, I got the A52 5G in France since April 21. I paid it 330 €, which is still a very good price.

I chose the A52 5G because I wanted to have a mid range phone, under 400€, with more than 3 years of software updates, good battery life, OLED screen, waterproof, good camera, good performance for internet browsing/standard apps (I am not a gamer). I am also familiar with OneUI, and the samsung software/firmware management (when it comes to reset/flash phones).
I noticed the following negative points:
                          - Screen that can be easily scratched: I added a glass protection.
                          - Software bugs on early releases (before May update) (issues with microphone management, with finger sensor): as now, they are mostly corrected.
                          - Average audio jack quality

I was positively suprised by the screen quality, the stereo speakers and smooth experience.
At the end, I like the features/price ratio of this phone: it is not the less expensive and not the more powerful but you get a consistent phone: amazing screen, good enough performance, good software package (OneUI, samsung apps, secure folder/knox), good camera, good battery.
I know it will last 4 years without any issue.

For me, it makes no sense to compare it with iPhones which are more expensive and that do not follow the same software&UI approach. They are different products.
And, for other android devices, I actually don't trust chinese brands (Xiao/Oppo...) about their software quality/security.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021Are you out of your mind, iphones are quite decent in my op... moreNo, I'm not out of my mind, and yes, iPhones are decent phones, but they're just not for most people even if everybody can afford them. I mean, if iOS and Apple really provide the best smartphone experience majority want, how do you explain a huge majority of Android users not switching to iPhones despite the fact that Apple recycles old iPhone models and sells them for cheap? Heck, Apple even sells the latest model poor man's iPhone (iPhone SE 2020) for just $180! That's half the price of this midrange Samsung A52 5G and is actually within the price range of most entry level Android phones!

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2021I was actually gifted one. The things you can't do wit... moreSame here, mate, iOS does give you a prison like feeling, lol. I was an iPhone user for 3 years but after I made the switch to Android with Pixel 4 XL (although it is stock and can be boring but still compared to iOS it is more customisable), I completely became a stranger to Apple. Even these days some people tell me to go for iPhone, I say no thanks mainly because of that prison feeling which you described, lol. Android OS has gotten even more better and is more user friendly.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021You know what you're right, everyone has their own dif... moreI was actually gifted one. The things you can't do with an iphone are just mind boggling. The limitations are endless: no dual SIM so you can maximize call and text as well as data plans, no headphone jack so you can connect various devices - not just wired headphones audio jack triggered selfie sticks as well that don't require bluetooth and hence, charging, no micro sd expansion for ultra large but cheap, up to 1 TB additional storage, etc. And iphones have such unsightly huge notched screens, with mediocre 60Hz refresh rates and mediocre battery performance. There's no FM radio too which you just miss on long, travels if you just want to listen to FM music and live FM broadcasts in your own language without draining battery and without wasting mobile data.

And that's only the hardware. The clunky, outdated iOS software just adds to the prison experience. You can't customize the screen DPI setting to maximize the number of lines of text you can fit for a compact screen with as small or as big icons and font sizes as you want, you can't install custom launchers to enable user defined gestures to speed up and automate tasks, you can't arrange and resize widgets, icons and screen grid to your exact liking, you can't transfer any file or folder you want from PC to phone and vice-versa to any folder you want, the way you can with Android, you can't sideload alternative app stores and sideload excellent apps like GCam with Night Sight which are not on Google play store (it's a ported app), you can't create a second or third account on the phone and just switch accounts and instantly switch screen layouts like you would in Windows PC's, you can't have dual apps (two app shortcuts that instantly open to different accounts), you can't tether your phone's internet with hidden SSID (hidden hotspot name), you can't manually select and lock to specific network bands to optimize mobile data speeds wherever you go, you can't connect the usb port to a tv dongle so you can have live digital tv broadcast anywhere you go on your phone, you can't connect a usb type C hub so you can connect whatever wired usb device you want (mouse, external drives, keyboard, etc), you can't wirelessly screen share content to a big screen TV without buying Apple TV, you can't hide the status bar so that the network, battery and clock do not create screen burn in, etc. etc. There's just so much I can't do in an iPhone I had to give away the iPhone to someone who just does Facebook and YouTube in an iphone in addition to call and text.

Truly You guys must have had your brains replaced. Dude he listed a ton of stuffs that's pitiable not be on the most expensive phones and you pulled out 120hz refresh rate to the rescue? Do you even know how basic and ordinary 120hz RR is? Lol

That way, you'll still have fast and wide/expansive wifi coverage.

Bought this phone for almost a month. I came from a stock android phone. So these are the flaws i've seen with it

*battery drains fast (i know how to tweak and save more battery using the settings and developer options)
*fingerprint scanner sometimes doesnt recognized my finger
Its a hit and miss 8/10
*couldve been a good choice if it uses triple card slot
*15 watts charger out of the box
                                        *no telephoto lens
*video recording with 4k isn't impressive

Overall the phone is good, with microsd card slot, headphone jack, upper midrange snapdragon chipset, you can use google camera, 8/256 internal storage, nfc, radio, secure folder, good camera's and it's a decent performer for daily use. Can live with the flaws but I hope they fix or improved the battery life with software updates. Had a 3800 mah phone but it can last 10 hours SOT
