Just want to mentioned to any proud owners of A52s, that this model got included as one of the best gaming phones for 2023 .... as a value proposition. But still it made it in this list!

        Had this phone for 8 months. It's gotten so slow recently that I thought I might as well post here and let others know. It's laggy, apps sometimes crash, usually when I unlock it it takes about 2 seconds for it to start doing whatever I need it to. Overall, the screen is nice, the headphone jack too, but it's way too slow. I was led to believe by the reviews that this phone should be fairly snappy, but it isn't and it honestly wasn't when I got it. My previous iphone 8 plus was way faster than this. Also, the cameras are pretty sad. Main sensor takes meh pictures, regardless of time of day. Ultra wide is okay, but it doesn't have autofocus. Battery life is nothing to write home about. On average I get one day of use and I wouldn't consider myself a heavy user (no games, no movies). One UI is the one thing that I like about it, it's got tons of useful features. Highlight being the option to create your own stickers from your own pictures. All in all I guess I could recommend this phone. It hasn't really let me down in any major way but it's sluggishness is getting on my nerves combined with the fact that the camera app, Spotify and even phone app sometimes crash. Oh yeah, and the last thing. Whenever I get low signal and I'm on either 2 or 3G, the screen starts to flash strangely. It's something I got used to but yet again, another issue.

          Android 12 made it better, but Android 13 made it the best. Cheers.

                    A52s5G . rubbish software update A528BXXU3EWE1 & latest A528BXXU4EWE4 !! how can we as consumer get compensate for causing our good fine working phone into a spoilt retarded phone due to their shit software updates?! its not the first time already. Cant be they keep damaging without any responsibility. Hate it whenever it happens. Sometimes we simply need the security patch thus update. Not becos of the latest software that different individual hardware r unable to compatible with, ended up screwed up our phone instead. This cant go on everytime for every phone.. its so frustrating ! Dont make $ in such a cunning way forcing us to buy new phone !! This software update issue need to be regulate as soon !!

However, at that point, I might go for a dumb phone or older smartphone and custom rom it. I'm tired of worrying about updates that slow down my device or install new "non bloatware apps" that I don't use. I have used the headphone jack forever. I'm not giving it up now. Also, I am not too worried about gaming on my phone much anymore as I have made the brilliant observation that for mobile gaming, you own nothing and will be happy, so I played without paying by not having a credit card on my google account. Guess what? I got burned out! Most games encourage spending money, and where do those goods go when a game like Apex Legends Mobile gets shut down? To the company. You get NOTHING! It's like an NFT! Also, Android in general is getting more restrictive. I might move on to Linux based OS that is open source that is not based on Android. I don't want to be on Android in general anymore since going on a very outdated and less restrictive version of the OS is not very secure.

                      I might just go full non-worry mode and just Carry a flip phone and Switch or Steamdeck around. Who knows. Camera? Might just bring a point and shoot. Way cheaper than a phone and the photos may look fuzzy or pixelated, but at least it won't look like an oil painting like the quality the A52s takes. Also, the A52s apparently has a camera lottery and you can have 2 different types of sensors for the main 50MP lens? No thanks :)

                              This phone its the last product of Samsung I ever will have.
                              Cant charged it when battery drops below 10%.Two time it was at service they change the usb slot now it have the same as problem when it need to be charged I get message "please check your usb slot for water or foreign part" When it comes update it was ok for a while...now it have problem again.Avoide this phone.

                                        Here it comes. The planned obsolescence update for the A52s. Android 11 4ever! I'll keep wearing my tin foil hat that Samsung will "accidentally" cause an issue with Android 14 on the A52s and they just won't fix it like the usually do until the next major release like Android 15. Not arriving on the A52s. LineageOS is what I would rather be using. If I wanted Android to look 10x worse and slower with anything newer than One UI 3, I might as well switch to a version of Android with more freedom.

                                        The A52s is a relic to me. Last Samsung phone to include a headphone jack and expandable storage (excluding the x-cover which has Android 12 anyway) with a great soc to boot. Along with Android 11, which is the icing on the cake!

                                        I saw an A54 in the store in person. MY OH MY is it thick and the bezels make it look like an iPhone. It makes my A52s look like a flagship in comparison! You know, when they actually tried to stand out from iPhones, now Samsung literally share the exact same design across their entire lineup.
