Are the benchmarks for this phone a mistake? They seem to be better than ones with better chipsets and GPUs e.g. A53?

Been using for 1 year, the best value for money A series relased after 2019 . Using social media, texting, everthing feels snappy on One UI 5.
Hope 5.1 can improve overall user experience, kudos to Samsung 💕

You may try let's say longer Emojis AR with screen recording session or demanding video recording session or game with booster set to not control in case you've not seen it yet :) I mean powerful enough chips generally do warm up when pushed to their limits which is natural. Passive cooling isn't enough to remove that happening. This chip is pretty optimal in terms of performance, heating and power consumption ratio for a midranger. I wouldn't wanna swap for another 5G chip at all. (tho some MTKs are probably good enough too)

Every chip heats up on heavier task. I can't understand people crying over it. There's a difference between heat and overheat though. Have seen phones that were literally hot while this phone is more like warm when it happens. Overall it's O.K.

No! This is like the coldest phone I've ever used. Snapdragon 778G is known for NOT overheating and NO throttling.

One concerning factor in the February update is the mention of not able to downgrade to old software because of update to security policy. That means one cannot downgrade to previous versions if the update is unsatisfactory.

Been using this phone as my main phone since September 2022. Never overheated, not once, decently fast, beautiful screen, and a really nice camera (This is the best from this phone). Miss a lot the wireless charging, but usb-c and fast charging are good. I use it for work, and family communication, and whatching videos from different apps. I do not use facebook, nor use the phone for playing, and battery lasts all day and a bit more, which I think is good. I think this is a lot better deal than any Xiaomi on the same price range, plus I think is better than the a53 because this one has snapdragon which they took out from the a53. No regrets on buying, I don't think you can find a better deal, price-performance for a new phone.

I'm facing huge battery drain after one ui... moreMaybe try wiping your device cache in the recovery mode after a major update. Search the tutorials in youtube, if I remember correctly you need a laptop or PC running on windows 10 at minimal, and a data cable (the original one is preferred).
I don't know the correlations though, it's just a habit since I played with cusroms several years ago, wiped the data and cache after flashing a rom.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2023Just curious, why dont you use the double tap to wake up th... moreI appreciate it, forget that this option exists. Guess I'll be using the double tap for a while, at least until the assitant menu bug is solved.
For personal reason I prefer the floating menu, as the double tap only works for home screen I think, though I know it's only a tap away to get to home.
