IP , 10 Jun 2022What is the performance lag like? Even A52 doesn't lag. If you know how to use and keep you phone in a good shape it won't lag.

I reall... moreGo directly for A52S without thinking too much, Android 13 with one ui 5.0 update will available soon to that phone, and it have 3.5 jack , have charger, silicon cover , snapdragon 778 not exynos, but A53 doesn't have anything just phone and cable charge, the processor of it is exynos, That's my opinion for you , if you can waiting for A53s it will be future

A52s is more powerful (especially for gaming) and has a headphone jack.
A53 has more beautiful design (like S22 series, even though this could be subjective), it has slightly better battery and cameras and you will receive longer software support for it. If we were to believe what Samsung said, you will receive 2 extra years of support compared to the A52s.
I manage to get mine at a very nice discount, with 320EUR. Practically it was similar price with A52s in my country.
I choose A53 over A52s, because I like more the newer design of Samsung phones and how it feels in the hand. Also, I don't game on my phones, so I don't care about the lower performance of Exynos 1280 chipset. The phone feels smooth in day to day tasks. I had before a second hand S20+ (Exynos 990 variant) and this A53 feels similar with that one.
But, like I said, if you plan to do a lot of gaming on your phone, or headphone jack is very important to you, your option should be A52s.
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either phones.

I really wanted A73 but looks like it's not being releases in uk. So you recommend the A52s? I was a bit cautious to see what the A52s was like after android 12 4.1 update. It completely made my A71 worse

I can't decide between A53 or A52s as i need a new phone. My A71 is dying. I like the look of A53 but some people are saying it is very sluggish. As for the A52s can anyone tell me what it's like after being updated to Android 12 4.1.? Is their any issues with the update?

Samung must use Exynos 2200 in all mobiles . Exynos is made by Samsung ( it is not imported as Snapdragon) so Exynos 2200 will not be expensive . Thanks.

What a b*tch move to remove the headphone jack. But at least the thing still has a microSD port unlike some these days... I am struggling here. Because it is a nice device, but the no headphone jack is killing it for me... At least I got it on deal for 170 dollars. Then again, I might send it back...

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2022I use A52 only for music and internet browsing/social media... moreSo if your area supports 5G connectivity its beter to buy Samsung A53 even for smoother browsing A53 is really good at refresh rate too and with new chipset samsung guarantee that A53 will recive at least of 4 year of android update and 5 years of security update, but nearly there is the same Lens on both devices and the camera quality gona to be same, with new Exynos 1280 chip and 5000mAh you can increase your browsing time for more couple hours.
After all yes is it worth to upgreade
