AppleRules, 23 Jun 2023that's a myth, just like fast charging destroys battery ...Iphone and samsung, two of the most branded companies are still not giving any fast charging technology above 45watt is for the same reason...they have stated that they value the battery longevity and lifespan more than the fast charging technologies..if you dont believe you can ask any experts...i could have given you proof if this forum allowed sharing docs or images

AppleRules, 23 Jun 2023that's a myth, just like fast charging destroys battery ...Both are not myths....even experts agree the same and recommend against that practice..both are harmful for the battery in the long run...i mean someone who changes their phone every year is probably not going to get affected by it..but those who intend to keep their phones longer than 3 years or so would be the ones suffering

Coming from a Xiaomi MI 10T - very happy with the phone, slightly slower than the MI 10T but that was to be expected. Not happy at all with the battery. Does not last the day, at least not with the Power Protect activated to stop it charging more than 85%. The UI is great. So pleased with it. Especially as I did not pay the €569 list price for it. My son's phone bought 2 weeks later has the same battery 'problem'.
I have a question regarding software updates: My phone has not updated once: it is still on: A546BXXU1AWB7 / A546BOXM1AWB7 / A546BXXU1AWB8 with a security patch level 1st February 2023. My phone says my software is up to date.
My son's phone bought 2 weeks later in early May 2023 has a security patch of May 2023. Very curious.

AnonD-1090716, 23 Jun 2023Letting your phone go below 20%-15% in battery until it die... moreI can't confirm that, I've had a lot of Samsung and never battery problems. my problems with Samsung have always been purple screens, ghost touching, everything to do with the display. I've been using iPhone since day one and also Androi, I've never had battery problems.my best battery phone at the moment is the mi max 3, zero care, zero attention. it's like day one, both the battery and the phone

Anyone from SEA recommend alternatives for the a54 in the same price bracket? I know this is the safest option but I find it a bit boring tbh. Poco f5 has beast specs but mediocre build and horrible UI and software. Pixel series seems decent but seems to have a lot of issues and no 5g in my country.

AppleRules, 23 Jun 2023that's a myth, just like fast charging destroys battery ...Letting your phone go below 20%-15% in battery until it dies for many times is bad for the battery, since that practice starts degrading the battery more quickly, if happen one time or in some rarely occasions can't damage it, but if it happen often, it can degrade the battery a lot.
Charging your phone to 100% and discharging it until it reaches 0% its also very bad for the battery, doing this practice many times.
It's recommended to extend the battery lifespan by charging it up to 80%-85% at max, and avoiding charging it below 20% or 15%, in some occasions if you'll travel for a long time or you'll need to use your phone for a long time, it can be charged at 100%, but only in some occasions, to prevent the most degradation the battery can have.
Samsung has a function in One UI that limits the charge when the phone reaches 85% to prevent that.
