Pretty expensive, i dunno..doesn't convince me.
I mean, for example the S21 FE is about the same price now, but a more premium phone overall on almost every area.
Update promise still very long for the S21 FE too, up to Android 16 & security updates to at least 2027 so..

Minu, 03 Apr 2023Agreed. In fact, they look and feel much better than those ... moreI had S6 edge. Though it was cool and sexy it was very laggy. But now even midrangers don't lag. One UI is a huge improvement. Others repeating the same joke that it has too much bloatware can just uncheck apps when they turn on their phones for the first time. It will be lightweight. And as long as you have 256GB or more storage it isn't an issue.

AnonD-1090716, 02 Apr 2023The Galaxy S6 edge/S6 edge+ and Note 5 aged much better. Agreed. In fact, they look and feel much better than those ODM phones we see today with a Samsung tramp-stamp.
Plus they were unbelievably light and the UI looks very uncluttered compared to both older and newer UI

Why is everyone comparing exynos to snapdragon here when it really depends on the user on what he does on the phone? If you just use your phone for day to day life then a54 is no problem. If you want to purchase a phone for extreme gaming or editing then buy another phone not this

No tech reviewer here claims what kind of storage is used, even Samsung Indonesia itself doesn't want to tell.

AnonD-1090716, 02 Apr 2023Exynos isn't a sub-par product.Exynos isn't a sub-par product but an utter junk SOC one can get. This was the case since Exynos inception and will be the case in the future as well. It seems Samsung finally realized this cold fact hence they dropped the idea of high end Exynos altogether from S23 globally and push mid range junk Exynos aggressively that can hardly compete with 2021 Snapdragons and call that as a "win" 😄

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: Exynos vs Snapdragon Benchmark
Here you can see for yourself the Snapdragon variant of S22 dominating over Exynos in every metric:

                  https://www.ct.nl/achtergrond/samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-exynos-2200-versus-snapdragon-8-gen-1-benchmark/

Efficiency wise SD 8 Gen1 is not that superior over Exynos 2200 as the SD 8 Gen 1 is fabed on inferior Samsung node hence they suffered with efficiency compromises and heat. This was the reason Qualcomm switched to superior TSMC fab for their Gen 2 production.

Also the Snapdragon variant of S22 was not just superior in Performance but also superior in Camera department due to having much superior ISPs and computational AI photography.

                  Their review conclusion says:
“At the end of the day, most people we showed these photos to, agreed that the Snapdragon version is the one they would go for.

And we can certainly see why. The Snapdragon has more saturated, punchy colors, it has a bit more sharpening, while the Exynos model often looks bleak with more toned down colors that lack the 'wow' factor.

You might not believe that a change in processor could lead to quite big changes in image quality but it does. Sometimes that difference is subtle, at other times it's more noticeable, but it's always there.”

TSMC is a foundry for all and nothing stops Samsung from fabing their SOC there. Samsung has no competing chips to fab against the current Snapdragon flagships and the upcoming Gen 3 either hence they dropped the idea of Exynos altogether from S23 and possibly S24 as well.
