I used to own the A series for long now and I wanted something different this time. But they insist to equip the faulty exynos processor everytime.

And the specs are Nothing special. it's actually the same specs over and over again in different versions. Meanwhile you can see other brands arrange very good processors and flagship specs in the same price range.

As a long Samsung user I really considering this time of buying something else unfortunately.

I tested several devices today, 7a, a54, s23 ultra, of all devices, the 7a appealed to me the most, very fast and feels very valuable. the a54 on the other hand was thick and not as valuable as the 7a, despite the glass back, display quality was the same, the 7a was much smoother. the s23 ultra was great, but somehow i don't like edge screens, and i don't need such a powerful camera cell phone, and it's also too expensive for me. I think I'll take the 7a.

AvgpPhPhoneUser, 26 Jul 2023my man give the phone like a 10minute break your seriously ... moreI hardly use this phone recently since it starts hurting my thumb. It just about 3week that I bought it. What do you mean by I use give it ten minutes.

If I type with it for just 30minutes, my thumb will start hurting me. Itching, freezing, shocking me.

I Don't know what is wrong the the phone. I have already installed 2 screen guard, but the problem persist.

ingramli, 25 Jul 2023out of 130 pages that is like half of that is the shit abou... moreYes, the nodes made by Samsung have been hot garbage. I wish major brands would make their midrange phones with more capable SoCs than Chinese ones, but there's always a catch when it comes to Chinese brands with capable SoCs; there's always a compromise somewhere.

My S9+ can capture more detail, but the main issue with it is that it loves setting the ISO really low in dark places. The video quality between the two phones is significantly different. The A54's 4k 30fps video is more stable than the S9+, which tends to be wobbly when walking.

I would have also considered getting a Pixel 7a if I had waited and it had a 256GB option available. Unfortunately, most stores only sell the 128GB variant, which is too little for my liking as I download a lot of memes and often forget about them, leading me to delete them once I'm running out of storage. The midrange market seems to be too focused on cameras that they have to make gaming-specific versions of those phones for others. But what if I want a good camera on my midrange phone and not a midrange gaming one?

Ralph Genesis, 25 Jul 2023Please someone should guide me on what to do. I love this ... moreActually I will consider Samsung Galaxy S21 FE as an alternative because it is far more better than A54 in all way, at a similar price. The only problem is the software updates.
A54 will get android 17 but S21 FE will only get till android 16.

              That's it(choice is yours)

Apple Rules, 25 Jul 2023@ingramli Just buy an iPhone and don't worry anymore, ... moreI am using a iPhone (2020 SE), and I have to say, the "apple ecosystem" is too much restriction for my liking, I couldn't even install a P2P client from the APP store, and side-loading an app requires re-activation with a PC every 7 days unless I pay for a dev account that cost USD99 per year, Apple just don't want users to freely use their phones like a PC....

Please someone should guide me on what to do. I love this Samsung A54, but major problem is that it hurts my fingers.

It burns my fingers. I'm that type of person that will press phone from morning to night. I have been using Oppo A96 for 14months now without such problem.

Is any one experiencing same problem?
I can't even press my other phones after pressing this phone for just 30mins.

                      I need help.

out of 130 pages that is like half of that is the shit about the exynos debate....... and I am surprised no one pointed out the key, that is,

It is not about Exynos or Snapdragon/MediaTek, but the nodes used for its production. It is undeniable that Samsung' nodes in recent years sucks, from SD888 to 8 Gen 1, they are (literally) hot garbage (compare to TSMC based 8 Gen 2 that is day and night difference, and many even prefer a 865 over a 888), folks who tends to have long gaming sessions on heavier games avoid the 8 Gen 1 and 888 like plague, and some folks decided to avoid Exynos chips for the same reason, some other folks simply couldn't acknowledge others' preference and jump into the endless debate....(I am not going to jump into the debate, so downvote or whatever u want, but don't expect reply from me in that matter)

Enough for the Exynos shit tho, my another reason posting here, is rant about the performance of SoC currently available on major (non-chinese) brands, I found myself in a situation that, if my budget is just USD400-500 today, I couldn't find an Android phone from the non-Chinese big names (like Samsung and Sony) that offer a meaningful upgrade in term of gaming performance from my 4 years old S10e which cost USD600 back in 2019 (the Exynos 1380 barely tie with 855 on CPU, and inferior on the GPU side, the battery efficiency was better on 1380 though), and seems no one but the Chinese brands are interested to release some mid-range devices that feature a more capable SoC (such as SD 7 Gen 2 or at least a Dimensity 8100, the closest contender is the Google Pixel 7a, but 128GB without SD card slot for storage expansion is way too small for my taste), among them the worst offender is Sony, which retained the SD695 on a USD400 phone (10V) in 2023 though (sigh)

I bought this phone few days ago then compare to the Pixel 6A camera same like this one has more superior compare to pixel 6A

Sunlag, 25 Jul 2023it has been confirmed every a series will be equipped with itWhere has it been confirmed like that ? A52s happened only because of a massive chip shortage at its time. It is silly to expect it will happen again. Even if another chip shortage arrive, Samsung very unlikely to bring bleeding edge Snapdragon another round as it will cannibalize the sales of their Exynos powered phones on a broad range of segments.
