Rehan , 19 Jun 2023Samsung galaxy a54 not option esim When I go in to settings and SIM manager it says quite clearly "add an esim". I haven't got one and don't want one but the option is definitely there.

The issue is most certainly not fixed for all. It does not seem to affect every phone though, both my wife and I have the A54 and she does not have have high battery drain.
This, to me, is the one main issue with this phone. The drain cannot be tracked to any single application, but seems to rather be something at a lower level. All that (temporarily) fixes the problem is restarting the phone.

This is a cheap phone that does everything you need to do, everybody that is like mee that needs low maintenace this phone is exellent. Some stutters once awhile but it never slows down, feels snappy. Good enough for meg that doesnt want to break my bank. Have other things to use my money one.

addressing recent posts.
First the A54 comes in a variety of formats
Single SIM (Nano-SIM, eSIM) or Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by)
Suz answer SM-A546B/DS is a dual sim, if you have already purchased the phone, the model is on the packet that contains the warranty information AND on the quick start guide
Not having an Esim variety.
My "understanding" is that you must have BOTH an eSim variety and the network supports eSim registration. The network is merely asking if you want to set up that way
As you can see in the miscellaneous section there are TWO versions which have the letter 'E' these would be the eSim variety based on the above Dual Sim, My best wild guess
On memory the highest spec A54 equals the lowest configuration S23 ultra 256Gb with 8Gb RAM
The S23 does not have a memory card slot but utilises the latest UFS 4.0
The A54 supports memory card, up to 1Tb, it becomes a simple case of cost. Can I get a branded high spec fast 128Gb memory card for less than the hike in price for the 256Gb version same 6 or 8Gb RAM. Most likely yes.
I haven't looked at 1Tb cards myself but 512Gb cards prices have dropped
