out of 130 pages that is like half of that is the shit about the exynos debate....... and I am surprised no one pointed out the key, that is,
It is not about Exynos or Snapdragon/MediaTek, but the nodes used for its production. It is undeniable that Samsung' nodes in recent years sucks, from SD888 to 8 Gen 1, they are (literally) hot garbage (compare to TSMC based 8 Gen 2 that is day and night difference, and many even prefer a 865 over a 888), folks who tends to have long gaming sessions on heavier games avoid the 8 Gen 1 and 888 like plague, and some folks decided to avoid Exynos chips for the same reason, some other folks simply couldn't acknowledge others' preference and jump into the endless debate....(I am not going to jump into the debate, so downvote or whatever u want, but don't expect reply from me in that matter)
Enough for the Exynos shit tho, my another reason posting here, is rant about the performance of SoC currently available on major (non-chinese) brands, I found myself in a situation that, if my budget is just USD400-500 today, I couldn't find an Android phone from the non-Chinese big names (like Samsung and Sony) that offer a meaningful upgrade in term of gaming performance from my 4 years old S10e which cost USD600 back in 2019 (the Exynos 1380 barely tie with 855 on CPU, and inferior on the GPU side, the battery efficiency was better on 1380 though), and seems no one but the Chinese brands are interested to release some mid-range devices that feature a more capable SoC (such as SD 7 Gen 2 or at least a Dimensity 8100, the closest contender is the Google Pixel 7a, but 128GB without SD card slot for storage expansion is way too small for my taste), among them the worst offender is Sony, which retained the SD695 on a USD400 phone (10V) in 2023 though (sigh)

Sunlag, 25 Jul 2023it has been confirmed every a series will be equipped with itWhere has it been confirmed like that ? A52s happened only because of a massive chip shortage at its time. It is silly to expect it will happen again. Even if another chip shortage arrive, Samsung very unlikely to bring bleeding edge Snapdragon another round as it will cannibalize the sales of their Exynos powered phones on a broad range of segments.

AnonD-1090716, 17 Jul 2023Exynos isnt a bad thing hereOnly because it doesn't overheat as much. Snapdragon 778G is still a slight better than this.

Hi guys, currently using Galaxy A52 previously had a stock android Moto. Looking at upgrading to either the Pixel 6A or Galaxy A54, mostly for the e-sim capability. I don't play demanding games on my mobile. Mostly I need a good mid-range camera phone. I also prefer stock android over one UI although now used I'm to one UI.
Based on my research the Pixel has a better point and shoot camera, speaker and a slightly faster chip. The A54 has a better screen, micro SD slot and slightly longer software support.
Live in Canada price is roughly the same for both, which is the better buy?
