Anonymous, 04 Sep 2024OnePlus Nord 4. Like all true mid-range phones, it eats the... moreNot really. Real world differences are negligible. Price, however, is not. Where I'm from, there's a $ 200+ difference between 8/128 A55 and 12/256 Nord 4. I don't really like OneUI, but it gets the job done. No problems so far: signal is good, phone doesn't overheat, everything works. 1st world problems: screen doesn't turn on for notifications but I can opt for AOD to do that. Super happy that it got "Circle-to-search" and "Vivid slider". There are more things that I like than things I don't, so... Yeah. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a decent price / performance / features option and is not bothered by size. Bought mine at $ 330 8/128. For 128 GB variant, storage type is UFS 2.2 (1 GB/s reads; 0.5 GB/s writes). RAM is LPDDR5 at 3200 MHz. Thank you; come again.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2024Because budget customers are forced to buy big phones. But ... moreDo not post your personal opinion as fact. There are compact phones from other manufacturers like Sony. But for some reason they still buy Samsung. The A line is not expensive, there are also smaller screens. But still buying a5x phones. People want big screens for many reasons: better play games, better to watch mivies and other things and etc.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024Samsung A55. Because: Nord cost more, have worse protection... moreAnother reason will be that OnePlus removed the charger from the box. Yeah, I know that Samsung also doesn't have charger in the box. But, in Czechia, a Samsung original 25W charger + 1m original cable is 10EUR. A 80W/100W Super VOOC charger + 1m original cable is 60EUR.
Plus, with Samsung, as with iPhones, you can use almost any third party chargers. With Chinese brands (especially Realme, OnePlus, Oppo) you need propriety charger and cable. Because third party chargers don't work at full power.
That is why removing the charger from the box for Chinese brands will be worse than when Samsung and Apple did it.

You think ONLY rich people want compact phones like the expensive S24? Use some common sense.

It's fast, simple yet highly customizable, and practically bloat-free, almost like stock Android. Don't underestimate.

The A55 isn't far awa... moreIf you're on a tighter budget and want a phone with a unique design, cleaner software with no bloat, slightly better cameras, faster charging, and better battery life, go with Nothing Phone 2a (non-Plus). I don't recommend the Plus model because it's not too different.
If you have more money to spare and want eSIM, flagship-like build quality, IP67 water resistance, slightly better performance, a card slot, and 1 extra year of software support, go with the Galaxy A55.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024I'm a budget compact phone fanboy. As many others are. But Samsung only gives different choices to customers that can afford expansive prices. For those that can't, Samsung doesn't even want your business, and will definitely not provide you with choices.
