But, even better option is S23, if you can get one brand new for similar price.

ANTENMAN, 16 Mar 2024Why is there no FM Radio! :((It's designed for Bluetooth connectivity, 3.5mm plug means radio antenna can't be possible. Get a type C USB to 3.5mm converter if u so much love wires 😄

TRUTH HAMMER, 16 Mar 2024great design, bad chipsetVery ordinary design that doesn't bring anything new since all Samsung devices look the same. On the other hand, as I don't like Qualcomm chipsets or Snapdragon chipsets, I couldn't be happier that the Galaxy A55 has an Exynos chipset.

maks-rs, 15 Mar 2024Tomayto - Tomahto ;-) , maybe ( if so ) on paper, but agai... moreexynos 1380 is better than sd 778 g and the snapdragon equivalent of this chipset is sd7s gen 2 exynos 1380 is well optimized after all updates i am using a54 now at lauch a54 used to score 2850 multiscore on geekbench now it can 2950+ which is in the same area as sd 7s gen 2
exynos 1380 can run all games at 60 fps now except genshin impact and games whose developers didnt optimize their game for the chipset i have been using a54 for about 8 months now i can say that a54 has improved performance after 2-3 months after its launch
so the exynos 1480 will be more powerful and the gpu performance will also increase due to amd's gpu in early results exynos 1480 showed no overheating problem and scored 3500+ multiscore the performance will also likely to improve after updates
all this is said completely from my user experience
whether you deny it or not does not matter in my case i am enjoying a54's performance so far
here is proof that a54 reached 2989 multiscore on geekbench

Maybe android os is not much havier with new os versions , but apps ( especialy 3rd party) definetly is. Thats why is much safer to have better chip in start to ensure future lag-free use.

Hmm, 15 Mar 2024"Major android updates" lol. They stopped being m... moreAll of that may be true (it will depend a lot on Google's policy), but it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth that a new phone has a chipset like a 3-year-old competitor's SD chip.
I understand the policy of using in house chipsets, but this upper midranger deserves at least exynos chip of the 2xxx series.

There will never be big jumps again like we had 10 or more years ago. So this phone handle any future "major" Android just fine. It's the same as we have Chrome or Firefox version 125 or whatever. You don't even notice when new version comes, because almost nothing changes. Same with Android from now on. They move some buttons around, add some new widget and that's about it.
