TharKth, 09 Sep 2024where is the UFS 3.1 ? UFS 3.1 is only for the 8/256 and 12/256 variants. The lowest 8/128 uses UFS 2.2.

where is the UFS 3.1 ?

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2024The haptics on A55 feels inferior compared to A54That's interesting, given that teardowns show a similar linear x-axis haptic motor between A54 & A55... Maybe it could be due to the bigger size, mass or the flat aluminum frame.

If you want to feel real inferior haptics, try out the traditional buzz vibration motor found on A35 & A34.

The only thing that would make me consider switching to Samsung again is a high PWM dimming display, a microSD card slot, and a snapdragon SoC. I guess business isn't bad enough to improve things.

After using this phone for 3 months this is my review about it. I think this phone is a beast for its price range for all aspects except the camera, the material, the screen , battery, performance and anything else. Only two things are not good in this phone which are charging speed which I don't care about to much as I charge my phone at night with setting up battery protection. However, for the camera I am really disappointed, I expected much more from this phone. Of course in good light conditions, even an old nokia classic with 2 MP camera can take nice shots. For example comparing my old xiaomi redmi note 10 phone to this phone it appeared that my new A55 was not a superior upgrade for the camera when comparing the prices of both phones when redmi note 10 is a 170 USD 3 years old phone and samsung A55 is a new phone with price around 400USD. The 50MP A55 is worse than 48MP for redmi note 10, the latter takes more details and larger photo size, whereas in A55 it still a small size image with less details and not much different from the 12MP lens which should not be the case. And 2Mp macro lens is almost very close to the new 5MP macro lens on A55. But for the selfie camera I must admit it is much better and beyond expectations compared to even S24 series especially after activating some face finishes. I am not a gamer so what I wanted from this upgrade was a noticeable camera improvement from my old redmi note 10. But in most cases I didn't get what I wanted.

Here's my pros and cons of this phone after using it for 3 months:

                                      PROS
                                      - Clean, minimalist design with that distinct "Samsung" look. No oversized camera bump, stovetop-like lens arrangement, and pointless text such as "200MP Super Ultra OIS HDR++" like other phones.
                                      - Flagship-like build quality and material choice
                                      - IP67 water resistance
                                      - Micro SD slot
                                      - Bright and crisp AMOLED display with accurate colors
                                      - Good everyday performance
                                      - Good video recording with virtually flawless stabilization and no jitter
                                      - Great software experience with lots of features and customization
                                      - Frequent software updates and 5 years of support
                                      - Great battery life, getting a maximum SoT of 8-9 hours depending on usage.

                                      CONS
                                      - Bulky and heavy
                                      - Thicker bezels than the competition
                                      - Average camera quality
                                      - No telephoto lens
                                      - Meh gaming performance
                                      - No headphone jack
                                      - Slow charging
                                      - No wall adapter and case included in the box

                                      VERDICT
The Galaxy A55 is a good mid-range phone as long as you're not an avid photographer or a hardcore mobile gamer. This phone truly feels like the A-series of old from 2016-2018, with the premium design and features.

I've been using Samsung A32 4G for about 3 years now. I'm not much of a phone gamer but I decided to play Plants vs Zombies 1. My phone couldn't run it, kept glitching and lagging. After this experience I realized I'll need an upgrade, didn't why buy a flash ship but I saw this phone and heard how cool it was. I wanna buy it but can it run Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel without issues or should I just buy a flagship?
