It's just baffling how one of Samsung's older devices is friendlier on the eyes than their newer ones.

A52 vs 13T, Galaxy Tab S8+ vs 13T, even tested it on the OnePlus 12.
You see few thick black and lit lines with Samsung, meaning low frequency. The thick black lines means the pixels / diodes turn off for a long time -> low frequency.
The other devices have loads of thin lines of mostly lit pixels and some black -> high frequency.
Same story with the highest brightness setting.
The display is dimmed by turning the pixels on and off so fast that your eyes perceive it more like a constant. The lower the frequency the more uncomfortable the eyes and brain feel.

Those brands claiming their phones have a PWM of 1000Hz are mostly false.

I own a Po... moreXiaomi 13T, 13T Pro, 14T, 14T Pro, Honor phones, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, all of them have PWM in the 1000Hz range for a long time, years in fact. I have the 13T and that's why I'm using it, though the UI is garbage compared to Samsung. The only thing holding me back from using Samsung again.

Like A55 being like A54 by over 98% (only chipset and GPU variation), even the future A56 will be like A55 - common user cannot find any difference.
The A56 will be super hit only if the samsung provides auto focus and OIS for the front camera with IP 68 and USB 3.2.

I hope they use really high PWM dimming in the A56, but knowing Samsung they probably won't ever change.

babak, 20 Nov 2024the worst thing about this phone is getting good connection... moreNetwork problems can be from GSM provider. I have 5G, call is awesome, i do not getting any problem with that. I agree that 5G often changing and in morning can be speed of internet 200 mbps, evening only 50 mbps when at day 500 mbps. I want to say that these all things comes from provider. Model for that is important, but as i mentioned i don't have any problems with that. It depends how good your GSM provider 5G cover the net in your location. Weather, building, others users (how many people connecting ti the same network) and etc. Phone can be reason of bad connection too, but most users how i can see do not have any problems with network.

s35ym., 20 Nov 2024Yes. A70 rocks till now.A70 if to say honest still is awesome and i used it till dropped and broken. Now do not turning on, screen is a little bit broken. But was awesome phone. I like mid-range A5x or A7x models from Samsung. S class is cool, but price is to high, A55 is perfect match for users which like good phones.

You are probably from outer space :D Specs in A55 Samsung model is one of the best in market for low price. Yes, i agree there are some Chinese models where processor is powerful, but check overall. Overall this model for this price is the best and that saying most sellers, experts and etc. That's why so many people like A55. A55 is like A7x models. A35 looks like A5x models. Samsung i think just changed numberings of models.

I know that, i'm happy that finally A class got S class or almost S class frames and back. Glass is magnet of fingerprint, but for that is napkins. Plastic or glass it doesn't matter, you have anyway to clean phone if you want to have it good condition of it. For me much more easier to clean glass back neither was with plastic in older models. Also plastic easy scratching. Glass have protection for that. Most people anyway using case, so i don't see here problem too. I see here only satisfaction's feeling that your mid-range looks like flagship, have good material frame and back like flagships have.
