I can get one from abroad, but there is no guarantee it would work here with a local sim. I also do have certain reasons for wanting a phone with decent reception, as I can't carry a darn hotspot everywhere I go. It is just not a practical solution.

    I Have Samsung A55 12/256 Refurbished price just $280

      The A55 over here is going for roughly the same price as the new A36, for the same storage/RAM configurations.

      So for the same price as A36 you get: A more powerful SOC, greater energy efficiency (refer notebookcheck's power consumption tests of A55 and Moto G75), esim support (the A36 here has no esim support), UFS 3.1 vs 2.2, memory card support, metal frame.

      The notable disadvantages are the bulk of the A55, two years less software support, and Exynos modem having weaker signal reception strengths compared to the Qualcomm X62 in the A36. The charging speed difference is negligible, since the charging time for 0-100 is reduced by a mere 15 minutes.

      But if you can get by despite those negatives, then the A55 is probably a better deal, while stocks last.

      The A36 is probably better only if you want a mid-range Samsung brand device with strong network reception. That is literally the only benefit.

              handset was out of warranty,may last updation I got 1 green line on the screen after 3 week the total lines became 6,I received a mail saying that the Samsung display cannot be replaced, if you pay 7000 rs, they can replace the display with 3 month warranty, then why are they giving 4 to 7 year update..This is a mobile with no physical damage.

Go for the a36 if it is cheap in ur region bcz u get snapdragon processor and 45w charging. Snapdragon chips generally have better network connectivity. But sadly u cannot use and sd card with 2 Sims in the a36 or a56. Although a55 has a hybrid sim slot. So if ur main concern is using sd card go for the a55

It really feels like 8GB of RAM is functioning more like 4GB for light use, even though RAM usage is only around 50-60%. The signal and touchscreen responsiveness become less smooth after prolonged use. Every two hours, I have to refresh the RAM to keep the device running smoothly.
