Benchmarks don't represent performance in the real world, that's why Dimensity 1080 in benchmarks looks inferior to the E1380 while in real world performance the 1080 is superior to the E1380. By and large, benchmarks are to fanboys what iPhones are to normies.

Besides, the 778G is a 2 or 3 year old chip and is superior to the E1480 in performance. A mid-range chip from the current year of SD or MT buries the E1480, seeth and cope fanboy.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2024only plus(+) & flagship snapdragon chips are fabbed by ... moreEfficiency and thermals are not exclusively determined by a phone's processor, regardless if they're made by TSMC or Samsung. Hardware internals like vapor chambers, the overall construction of the phone also play a big part. Software optimization too contribute to a phone's efficiency.
I'll give you two examples, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ uses the Dimensity 7200, which was manufactured by TSMC, only got a subpar active use score of 10:38 hours in GSMArena's tests. On the other hand, the Nothing Phone 2a, which also uses the Dimensity 7200, got a far better score of 15:53 hours.
The A55 managed a score of 13:27 hours despite using Exynos, that's still a better score than the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. So just because a phone uses a TSMC-made processor, doesn't automatically mean it's more efficient.

The FPS in the high set... moreThat FPS monitor is trash, it said the game was running at 70-80fps but the gameplay was clearly a bit laggy like running at 20-40fps and there is no way that a Snapdragon 778G can run at such high FPS, not even the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is capable to run at that performance

Samsung Watch6 Owner, 03 Aug 2024Where did you found that UFS 3.1 storage is in A55?Umm... Everywhere? Most reviewers have pointed it out. It has UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 memory. At least the 256GB version which I own. Dunno about the 128GB one, which they reviewed in this site, and seems to be slower.
Something similar happened with the S23. 128GB had UFS 3.1 but 256GB had UFS 4.0

if you want tsmc fabbed chips, either buy snapdragon plus(+)chips, flagships or go dimensity.

After a couple weeks, the phone is great. Nobody speaks about how snappy it is, you can definitely feel it. Even with the chipset not being super fast, the UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 memory makes all the difference in the world. Battery has been good, better than my Redmi. Software is also polished and long gone are the issues I had before with my old phone.
The only thing I dislike is the screen. Particularly the PWM dimming. Sometimes it makes me nauseous and with slight headaches after long periods. This never happened with any Xiaomi phone I've had. Very unfortunate but it isn't critical in my case. For someone overly sensitive to it, don't get this phone or you'll suffer.
