This is what happens usually when a company is successful not only in terms of sales but also in terms of reputation(and when a company is run by a crime family like Samsung is).

Being on Xiaomi for the past 8 years, I desperately miss the following:
1. the proximity sensor doesn't work in most of my calls, ergo, I am ending the calls involuntarily
2. in no way, I can't find a convenient replacement for the LED signaling for missed calls/messages/events
3. the charging of my 7 yo Mi Max 2 is quicker with 18w charger, compared to A55 with the 65W Dell from my laptop.
4. the battery is good but the Mi Max 2 hold at least half a day longer.
5. The A55 camera doesn't work unless allowed to collect additional data and permission to scan and connect with nearby devices
6. there are countless and countless intrusive permissions for most of the functions to be allowed to work
7. the camera is mediocre. It is not important to me but my old work-phone Xperia had the same or even better quality of photos 5 years ago.
8. the cell coverage is not as good as my grandpa Mi Max2.
9. Difficult to find items and misleading settings menu. Many system apps appear with allowed permissions even after I deliberately denied it. It happens after one app asks for permission which triggers a whole chain of other system apps to receive access to it.
10. the phone is getting unpleasantly warm even during watching some videos or playing very casual games - Tetris, Plants vs Zms, Tower deff.
11. the battery is good but using the phone is draining it disproportionately faster even with
For me, it is almost entirely a bad experience and if I didn't use the phone for some days already, I would return it.

Thinner bezel allows for a bigger screen or a smaller phone with the same screen. Plus it looks more premium.
It ain't a deal breaker but the competitors like Xiaomi have a thinner bezel for less price.

Thicker bezels doesn't really matter because it uses a flat panel compared to its rivals who insists on curved screens with thinner bezels. I am so done with curved screens because of extreme difficulty in finding a suitable tempered glass aside from hydrogel film protectors. I have used dozens of curved screens and I think I have already outgrown them.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about how thick the bezels are? Thin bezels look nice, but they don't really add anything. As long as the panel quality is good, it shouldn't matter. Besides, thinner bezels make a phone more prone to accidental touches.
I'm sure the majority of A55 users don't stare at the bezels all day and be in constant disgust over how thick they are. My aunt's old iPhone XR has awfully thick bezels and a massive notch, but after using it for a while, I don't even notice them.

So let's say the A46 would have the same chip as the A56 or A36, but the S24's size and weight. Or if they don't want that, they can call it the A56e or A36e. Alternatively, This can be the A26, since the A2x line currently sucks anyway (with the one time exception of the A23 5G).

Give the people a chance to speak for themselves by producing a S24 size mid-ranger and seeing how well it sells, instead of relying on so-called "stats" which basically tell us that consumers are currently just buying whatever limited choices exist, regardless of what their actual preferences are.
Sadly, common sense isn't so common anymore.

Some can say that some Chinese phones have better CPU and etc., but overall A55 is the best. That's why these phone is naming as high end phone (but not highest premium class, but higher as mid range - meaning)
