sounds seems to have better mids than the a34. a34 from my mother is of course good, but it lacks mids a bit.
thicker bezels means less unwanted touches or better scrolling with the sidebars (my experience from narrow bezels or edge displays), and better protection from flat falls...

certainly, some older models from the s class can have better performance and a better camera, BUT there is a problem with the battery, which is already at the end of its life, because Samsung devices still use li-ion batteries, which are short-lived, as opposed to li-polymer, which are more stable and they last much longer, this new A55 model is 10x more beautiful than the old A54 and when I went to the store 30 minutes ago and compared the plastic with this aluminum frame and the new finish of the phone, Awesome Ice Blue, it just captivates you, the look is fantastic, like premium a 1000eur phone, so I bought it and now let's do some research.

Agree! They are pretty much useless. A telephoto would be far more useful. Even another ultrawide would be more useful. Even a low res thermal camera would be more useful. I think the only reason they put these crappy macro cameras is so that the back looks like it has 3 cameras when realistically you will never use the macro camera.
If they put a good macro camera in that may also be a good thing, IMX858 50mp sensor with a macro lens or something, though that would likely raise the price a lot and that sensor could be used better on the ultrawide camera or a telephoto since macro photography is more niche than zooming in or out on people or landscapes.
Used S20 Ultra or Note 20 Ultra have much better cameras than this and you MAY be able to find them used for a similar price if you are lucky, but I'm not sure what performance difference between them looks like, or if you care about it getting new updates all the time for whatever reason this A55 phone will get them for longer.(custom ROMs sometimes solve that problem)

A processor almost as fast at the Snapdragon 865 and 12gb ram on a midrange phone. Damn.

PartTimePhoner, 28 Mar 2024The S23 camera is miles better too, so...that comes as a difference in miles and kilometers and in the price A55 is 370 euros while s23 is 590 euros, so if A55 is 370 kilometers then S23 is 370 miles and that is 590 kilometers or euros, the difference is big, we know what is good and what is expensive, I would like the Honor magic 6 pro, but it's 1300 euros🙄 so it's a lot for a toy😊

Because no buy for this new models of samsung A series And M series. They use cheap chipset exynos no good performance unlike the snapdragon 7gen2 is a very big better for the performance and battery life. No buy to this Midrange phones by samsung. Better buy S24 ultra Because S24+ and s24 is using exynos chewp chipset they fooled the people to buy and its expensive. We wants snapdragon 7 gen 2 chipset for Midrange phone of samsung. Period!!!
