maybe if Samsung put an SD in their A-series mid-rangers i might consider going back to their phones. for the meantime, i am not touching any A-series with those specs under its hood.

Plenty of other phones at this price range like the Vivo V40, Realme 13 Pro+, Motorola Edge 50 Neo, Nothing Phone 2a Plus have similar or maybe even worse performance than the A56. The only phones that can outperform the A56 are from Xiaomi and OnePlus, but they have their own share of issues. Most of these phones also still use optical fingerprint scanners and virtual proximity sensors just like the A56.
And regarding how well the E1580's performance can hold up after 1-2 years... well who the heck knows? I've heard plenty of people complaining about their S22 or S21 getting slow after just 1 OS update, and people claiming their A50s or A72 still running fine even after 4-5 years. There's no way you can tell. Besides, the A56 is not even released yet.
If you're bothered with the E1580's lackluster performance so much, then just vote with your wallet and get either a Xiaomi 14T or OnePlus 13R, simple as that. Samsung will never use chips that can match 2-3 year-old flagships at this price.

The A5X series is everything but cheap, so no ppl are going to be concern with its longevity. They can more than enough money to release something significantly better. They aren't apple, yet they more and more often act like they are.
S21 is starting to feel slow. Not yet, but there certainly is a noticeable degradation in UX. This is relevant because the 1580 still competes with the 2100 (yet still loses) and it gives a very clear perspective on what we can expect on long term from this phone.
Hence all of the expressions you listed are perfectly within reason. Samsung midrange is just useless due to the corner cutting both in performance and in misc features like the proximity sensor, let alone the fingerprint scanner.

i am looking forward to this phone, this may become the best mid range phone for 2025 compared to the chinese phones.
