AnonD-714158, 03 Dec 2017It was November security patch. I wish the battery improves... moreI'm on November Patch since last week. I'm amazed that they finally fixed the charging bug! This phone can do fast charge from 0% to 100% for about 1hr and 30mins. No more stuck on 92%.
So far I haven't seen new features with November Update. Maybe it's all about bug fixing and under-the-hood improvements.

Nevermind, 30 Nov 2017A5. Both phones are IP68, Z5 is 2 years older device an... moreZ5 still has a much superior camera, performance, etc. If you really don't mind about being stuck with Android 7.0 and an average battery life then Z5 is the way to go.

In terms of Display quality, Built quality, IP68 ratings no comparison with cheap looking Mi A1, and Experience 8.1 is much better and smoother than grace ux

For night or dark photo A5 win as it has bigger aperture.
Overall performance MiA1 win as Snapdragon 625 4GB RAM 64GB ROM beat A5 Exynos 7880 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM.
Gaming definitely MiA1 win as Adreno GPU is way better than Mali
Recent Nougat update cause many issue to A5
Not forgetting A5 cost double of MIA1 in my country (not sure about yours)
My suggestion wait for A8 (2018) which is the replacement for A5 (2017), it has 18:9 infinity display & newer Exynos 7885 chips.

i am using this from since 9 months and its a very good phn.
but i m little bit disapointed from samsung.
they should care for there premium midrange smartphone line up
it should get update to face recognization unlock.
all phns are giving it even samsung j7 max has it.
samsung must givw an update for face recognization

Bought two weeks before.....excellent device....i was using 5s last year....changed to samsung s6 for battery prob...s6 fell into water.....bought RN4....now using both RN4 and A5 2017.....i recoemnd a5 because other than OS it feels like some iphone style
