So far i am very satisfied with A5.

Best experience about battery life now is 22:10 and i still have 38% not charge for all day and i haveused it all day. I thin is batter than Samsung S Series

I haven't updated this phone since August 2017 (due to planned obsolescence paranoia after LG G4 bootloop). Anyone have any issues after an update?

And moving compatible apps one-by-one to the SD card is not user friendly. Worse, the apps are moved to the internal storage when they are updated.

Not saying the AMOLED is bad. It's good, but a nice screen is not as useful if the phone lags. And considering the price Samsung is charging for these, I'm not happy. Even a cheaper Vivo feels less laggy. It's embarrassing. Samsung's RAM management is known to be poor, and can only be compensated by having at least 6GB of RAM (eg. The S9).

Samsung used Exynos processor (Exynos processor can more effective than qualcomm because samsung make exynos so they more know about system on this phone). A5 2017 have corning gorrila glass 4, MI A1 just corning G3. A5 have slot for SD card and dedicated slot, not like MI A1. RAM is not too much different and the performance is almost similar to 3gb

i used it for editing video, and sometimes for gaming. Its never lagged, maybe u got 5% freespace on your storage, u must used sd card. My storage internal leave 8gb, and no lag

Definitely not as stutter free as pure android because how clean and stock it is. And yeah for those who interested for this phone or A1, they better buy old (2years at most) flagship instead. Second, yes, better performing hardware due to stock Android, plus more RAM and 64GB storage.
What's the point of Amoled screen if the phone lags? That's A5. The only good thing about it is that it's waterproof.
