Updates are meant to make phones better and not the vice versa. It will be best to first update it after taking it out of the box since by then the phone has not accumulated any cache data and will be the best time to apply an update, and note that this is only a security update and not a major update so it should not affect the best. You can also use the phone for about 2wks like someone has said before updating so you can differentiate between performance before and after the update. I updated and i have not seen any bad camera effect. The phone still runs well. All the best

                          Samsung galaxy A6+, its a good phone but second day on using this brand new phone, automatically the phone does not connect to wifi or moble data, no internet usage at all. Samsung phones are no more the best. disappointing!!!

                            Snr Nana Kwasi, 03 Dec 2018It runs smoother and boot time is shorter...also app sizes ... moresir, i am planning to buy A6+ weeks from now, what is your advice regarding about updating the software from the time i bought it, should i update it right away or should i not? because months ago, i read some reviews that the a6+ camera is really good from the time it was released in the market but because of the recent updates the camera went ugly/sucky.

                            anyone here who owns an A6+ and can tell me the camera is still good even with updates?
