Anonymous, 22 Jul 2020I'm surprised you have no issues with longer shutter s... moreWhen in PRO camera mode and setting a 1 sec or longer shutter speed, it seems to work normally displaying the message: 'Taking picture. Hold phone steady'.
But then the photo capture abruptly ends and the camera app displays an error message: 'Warning Camera failed.' The app then closes shortly you have to launch it again to take photos.
The green thingy you see on manual focus are 'focus peaking' indicators. Yes, they're very useful tools for manual focus. More green outlines mean more objects are in focus or sharper focus. Lesser green outlines mean more out of focus objects or misfocus.

I'm experiencing consistent and repeatable crashes if shutter speed is set at 1 sec or longer (2sec, 4sec, etc.). It must be a camera software bug. But it seems weird if you and other owners here did not experience the same bug in your A71 unit even if you set a 1 sec or longer shutter speed in 'PRO' camera mode. At least there's another A71 owner here who experience the same problem. The weird thing though is that it's 2 sec and up for that other user while it's 1 sec and up in my unit. I'm still troubleshooting which app permissions and app settings or even phone settings could have triggered it consistently.

I'll just add here (for anyone interested) that the manual focus has a neat feature that highlights the parts of the image that will be in-focus with green coloured highlights on the edges of objects.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2020I just got the June security patch update here in the UK.So you probably also got updated to OneUI 2.1 and have the new Samsung camera PRO mode that crashes when you set manual shutter to 1 sec or longer. It's a good update though except for the camera bug.

The Nord is grossly overpriced for what it offers. 399 euros/$460 USD for 64GB storage with no expansion and no 3.5mm headphone jack? It's a joke! And it doesn't have Widevine L1 certification so no Netflix in HD. Even if it had, it won't mirror wirelessly on big screen TV's as with many other China made phones. It also doesn't have FM radio and the battery is much smaller and the only thing worse than a screen with a punch hole is a screen with double punch holes.
I personally think the A71 ($375) is a much better buy for double the internal storage (128GB)! And the $85 you save, you can buy a 512GB Lexar micro sd card. You can keep the change and never have to worry about storage for media and 4K videos in the A71!

If that seal is intact and not torn or tampered (removed and reattached), then you certainly have a brand new unit.
If you say the entire box was sealed with shrink wrap plastic, then anybody can do that to a previously opened box and there's no assurance it's really brand new because plastic shrink wrap is easily replaceable, not like the paper seal.

- Manual
- Warranty Guide
- Smart Switch Guide
- Wall Travel Adapter
- Data Cable
- Ejection Pin
- USB Connector
However, I only got the ejection pin, travel adapter, data cable and manual... So it means the screen protector, transparent casing and earphone does not come with the phone in brand new and it's possible this is the way it is sold cause my box was sealed I was the one that opened it.
