Dr., 11 Jul 2020I wish there was an option to upload the battery usage scre... moreSuperfast battery charging heats up the battery more during charging so yes, Superfast battery charging will theoretically wear the battery faster than regular quick charging or slow charging especially when the charging time is extended due to a deeply discharged battery (Ex. 5% battery left before you charge the phone).
Allowing battery to drain to low levels (below 20%) before recharging also accelerates battery wear and deterioration, just as leaving the phone on the charger for long hours even when it's already fully charged. Using the phone while charging and running a processor intensive task (like gaming) while charging heats up the battery more and accelerates battery wear more than when phone is idle during charging.
As for chrome draining 1% every 10-12 minutes, it's probably within normal range especially when on mobile data with weak network signal especially when frequently downloading stuff on Chrome or watching video laden websites.
However, if just reading news or browsing text and photo only sites (no videos), you'll likely get lower battery drain than that. Of course, screen brightness levels also matter and so is enabling dark mode which can significantly save battery life on amoled based displays.

My mom bought the A71, we were satisfied with it but when it comes to internet connection, its not that good. And its not our wifi problem because my sibling can even play heavy games in our laptop and computer using our wifi my phone can even watch youtube nonstoo without any connection problems. But with my moms phone it always say No internet connection then we restar her phone again then it will come back to normal, internet will be fine again but just like 5 minutes after her phone will say Connected without Internet. Can you guys please help and tell me whats wrong. Does it need software update?

Battery performed well overall yesterday after the initial quick drain from 100% to 70%. I restarted the device. Although, the notifications are disabled for apps like YT, Twitter etc and are put to sleep when not in use. I went a step ahead of it and hibernated them through Greenify. I noticed some improvement in battery drainage. I'm still on April security Patch. No June update here yet.
I talked to Samsung representative and she told me to restart the device and optimize etc. Also said that I should wait for an update and it seems more like a software glitch. If the issue persists, I will see the service center on Monday.
I have few queries about this phone. Can you please answer them?
> In long run, does fast charging hurt the battery life quickly as compare to normal charging? Considering I don't let my device drop below 40% and have no emergency to get quick charge.

We will get all the S20 camera features after the update. I'm in Africa Ghana to be precise and I have not receive any update

Radio, 11 Jul 2020I have a new Samsung Galaxy A71. I can't find any F... moreIs in the apps drawer, you need to drag it to your home page, purple colour apps with a radio sign, is this your first Samsung smart phone... lol
If you still can't find it, go to setting (hopefully you know the mechanical gear logo apps is the setting...lol) tap the magnifying glass logo to search, type radio, then you can also see Radio...

I have a new Samsung Galaxy A71. I can't find any FM Radio app pre-installed on it. Nor can I find a Samsung FM Radio app on Google Play, to download and install. How do I use the FM Radio without any app??

This new update is for Device stability improvements, bug fixes, New and enhanced features and Further improvements to performance. I have already done the update and everything appears fine. I'm rocking the phone its so massive.

So far, I've had two android security updates for my A71 and none have caused problems. Galaxy store app updates and Google Play store updates usually don't create phone problems as they are app related, not like major android software or quarterly security updates.

If it doesn't solve your battery issues, remove micro sd card and restart phone. If still the same, factory reset phone and update software and all apps. Don't install micro sd card yet. Observe. If still battery draining rapidly after factory reset and without micro sd card (fake cards/corrupted cards can cause battery issues), have your A71 replaced or repaired if under warranty or ask for a refund. The A71 has great battery life but when it drains fast, it's usually caused by a misbehaving app which can normally be corrected by restarting/rebooting. Otherwise, if even a factory reset doesn't solve it, it's a hardware issue and you need to claim warranty for it.
