Except Screen Shot.
Can you tell me if there is practical for getting Screen Shot except the "side buttons" ??

I am using A71 and believe me this is a great smartphone.
Wounder full battery no lag very smooth performance and lovely camera.

cris, 14 Mar 2020does this one have cast?Samsung Smart View supports Miracast and DLNA projection (tried and tested), although I wouldn't be surprised if stuff like ChromeCast is also supported. So cast is available.

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2020Anyone who using this device tell me honestly its camera re... moreI think the optical fingerprint is done right on this one. My father has an A51 which has a poorer quality sensor but my A71 has a good, fast sensor which allows me to seamlessly unlock my phone.
Didn't use my camera too much unfortunately, just experimented with the super-slow-mo and it managed to show trickery done by an LED clock so it isn't bad. For the main camera, I have taken one photo today and the phone told me the photo may be blurry because it noticed that my cat was wagging her tail. The rest of the photo was crisp clear in decent (indoor lighting at night) light conditions. Didn't really test the extremes so I'll allow others to post better opinions.

I made a comparison of the device where Samsung obviously has lower specs.. Megapixels today don't count at all.. Amoled should be considered as true specs.. Or 128gb ROM, 6/8 RAM is beyond common today.. One UI should be included in all of their devices.. That isn't a spec for sure..

NO. The Xiaomi doesn't have that.
FULL HD/high resolution playback and wireless screen sharing of DRM encoded movies/video content like NETFLIX, Google Play Movies and Amazon videos?
NO. The Xiaomi can't do that.
Ability to MANUALLY SELECT what LTE band or bands you want to be connected to so you can maximize LTE data speeds depending on what LTE band is least congested and the fastest in the area?
NO. The Xiaomi can't do that.
Timely MONTHLY android security updates?
NO. Samsung is significantly MUCH BETTER in that regard. Xiaomi frequently updates MIUI without any change to the Android version or the monthly security patch.
Add to those the fact that the Mi Note 10 PRO is around $100 more expensive than the Galaxy A71.
So, is the Mi Note 10PRO in your own words better

I beg to STRONGLY DISAGREE. As I said, the Xiaomi has much better camera, bigger battery and an IR blaster but that's all it has against the A71.
Pick the Mi Note 10 PRO if you don't care about all the A71 features I've mentioned above that the Xiaomi seriously lacks.
OTHERWISE, buy the A71 which offers more features and more flexibility for $100 LESS than the Xiaomi. Besides, if you are 'brand name' sensitive, the 'Samsung' name sounds a lot better than the Chinese sounding 'Xiaomi'.
DISCLAIMER: I don't have brand loyalty. I am brand AGNOSTIC. I buy based on which product offers the best price:performance ratio and the best price:features ratio. Our household actually has as many as 5 Xiaomi devices (it used to be 8 before 3 Xiaomi phones with swollen battery [3-year old devices] were disposed off). Currently have: two Mi Max2, one Mi Max 3, one Redmi Note 4, one Mi Pad 4 LTE and only two Samsung devices (A71 phone and Tab S5e) in our household so you can be sure I am not a SAMSUNG or XIAOMI fanatic or antagonist.

Do you download and watch ... moreI'd like to add that I frequently do screen mirroring of my Netflix and other movies stored on my phone's micro sd card to my smart tv. The Xiaomi doesn't allow that for Netflix (no Widevine L1 certification) and only allows personal videos and non-encrypted movies to be mirrored wirelessly. And even then, the Xiaomi's wireless screen share doesn't mirror well to a tv since you can't change the aspect ratio (there are black bars all around a windowed video). The A71's smart view allows full screen mirroring. Again this matters a lot to my movie enjoyment so no, the Mi Note 10 PRO really isn't acceptable at all for me even if it did cost less than the A71. It's like someone giving you the best spoon and forks for your meal when what you realky needed is a knife for your steak.

Do you download and watch Netflix movies and store lots of music, movies, or record lots of 4K videos or store lots of photos on your phone? If so, then Widevine L1 certification is important to you and so is a dedicated micro sd card slot which the Xiaomi can never give you. Is being able to select LTE bands manually so you can choose less congested LTE bands and have much faster download speeds wherever you go important to you? For me it's very important and the Xiaomi does not allow me to do that. Are timely android security updates important to you? For me it's important and Samsung does much better on that area than Xiaomi. Does the saving $100 in cost matter to you? If so, then the Samsung A71 is a much better (cheaper) phone for you. The first 4 reasons are already enough for me to choose the A71 as the clear winner, a MUCH BETTER phone for me than the Mi Note 10 PRO given my needs. It may be different for you. You may want Xiaomi's better camera setup and bigger battery or value highly the built in IR blaster and don't care everything else I consider very essential in a phone so you may go for the Xiaomi despite the higher price and wouldn't care if it doesn't have micro sd, Widevine L1 certification, etc. - things I consider "must have". It's really up to you and what you intend to do with your phone that dictates which phone is better for you. As I said, for me, the choice is as clear as night and day: it's the Samsung A71 for me and it's because it's the best phone available based on my specific usage needs.

Xiaomi has its strengths and weaknesses. The biggest strength is the low price offered for top end hardware and an IR blaster which no other phone manufacturer offers (Huawei excluded because it no longer has Google). The biggest weaknesses for Xiaomi are lack of micro sd card expansion in its upper midrange models (internal storage only), lack of Widevine L1 certification in 99.9% of Xiaomi phone models - a big turn off for Netflix/Google/Amazon movie fans, and lack of micro sd card encryption if the phone model happens to offer micro SD expansion.
As for Samsung, the biggest strengths are dedicated micro sd slots in its dual SIM midrange phones, Widevine L1 certification in ALL of its midrange and flagship phones, and the best displays. On the downside, Samsung has higher price for the same hardware specs offered by Xiaomi and lack of IR blaster (compared to Xiaomi).

This is my conclusion after owning 3 MIUI & 1 A1 phone from Xiaomi.
Samsung One UI is light years ahead of Xiaomi MIUI.
Xiaomi too has hardware reliability issue, parts are prone to failed prematurity, GPS is totally disaster.

I've been using A71 BNIB for two weeks.
this is the first time I purchase a Samsung phone
I have 2 mobile phones, working side by side with equal treatment
The reason I bought it because my work as a copywriter requires me to read extensively, big screen and spacious memory and storage are needed, and of course, it's Samsung, supposedly known for quality
the verdict for A71:
- Fingerprint scan is terrible
- Spotted one dead pixel (or discolored?), only occurred when 'making calls' app running
- Sometimes the keyboard does not instantly appear on the text box (WhatsApp)
- Fine scratch is observed on the screen, such scratch never happened to my abused 4 years old Lenovo vibe shot
I'm just too busy to go to Samsung counter, talk to salespeople, and making claims. this phone (or Samsung) is simply not for me.

1. You don't need micro sd card slot, (important if you take lots of 4K video and collect movies and music and take photos in RAW/DNG )
2. You don't need Widevine L1 certification (important for screensharing NETFLIX downloads to large screen tv in FULL HD. No Widevine L1 certification means no Full HD streaming)
3. You don't need timely android monthly security updates
4. You don't need ability to select specific LTE bands to maximize your LTE data speeds depending on which LTE band is faster in every area you go,
and if
1. You want an IR blaster (master remote control) on a phone
2. You want a better camera than the A71 and
3. You want a larger battery than the A71.
Otherwise, the Samsung A71 is better for you because you can buy an IR blaster USB type C accessory which means only the battery and camera are the Mi Note 10s's strongest selling points. With GCam 7.0 ported on both devices, camera performance should be about the same with Night sight except for the Mi Note 10's OIS advantage. (Gcam doesn't take advantage of the Mi Note 10's 108 megapixel resolution using night sight).

Looking forward to buy A71 but just noticed that Xiaomi Note 10 which is in the same price range has 108mpx camera and better battery plus slow motion , stabilizer and video record at 960fps.
Which one would you recommend ?
