gtliki, 04 May 2022Is A52 better than the A71?A52 4G (non s version), not at all, the Snapdragon 720G is like mixed, on some aspects Snapdragon 730 is better, i wouldn't change my A71 for A52, despite being one year newer, not a big of difference, but if you have chance for A52s 5G don't think twice is very worth, even the A52 5G is better than A52 4G with Snapdragon 750G

So I am OK if it takes longer time to get Android 12 update for my A71.

SuantoWjy, 03 May 2022Is this phone still good for daily driver in 2022If you already own this phone then there is no issue to use it in 2022 or even 2023, the features still very much at par with the current model, SD 730G 8GB RAM & 128GB ROM is good enough.
But I don't recommend buying a new A71 in 2022, as there are many good alternatives in the market.
For me is still good, since 5G is like taking forever to launch here & may take another 3 years before 5G is available in most of the major cities in my country.

my advice, get A52s 5G instead

I don’t think Samsung plan to ever make it run Android 12. For the foreseeable future, you’ll have to make do with Android 11 unless you plan to get a new phone. Yet the strange thing is that they’ve allowed the older Samsung Galaxy S10 to run Android 12, but that’s another story for another day.
