I'll probably have to get a new phone soon, though I'd prefer not to because I otherwise love this phone.

gtliki, 14 Mar 2022Kindly explain more about itprobably updates would happen every 6 months like (judging by my old phone A3 2017).. A51 is shifted to biannual updates too.. but not A01 Core or the pre-historic A40 and their enterprise A50 which is even still on the monthly schedule lol well is Samsung logic anyway, but then we shouldn't be bothered.. except for someone who wants often updates

According to Sammobile, Samsung has released the android 12 upgrade for galaxy a71 in Hong Kong. Hopefully it will soon spread to other parts of the world.

I have had an issue for the last month, my A71 has become very slow, it is driving me crazy. It just stop working for seconds and one time it just quit working for hours, I had to reboot it.
Is somebody else experiencing this?
Is something I can do about it?

Try to reset the battery
Also use the digital wellbeing feature

If yours is 1yr and half, it shows you have taken good care of it. Me too. I intend to use it till 2yrs

Orange, 13 Feb 2022This is by far the worst phone i have ever bought (oct 2020... moreno. the galaxy s7 is water resistant, the a71 isnt. ive never experienced the camera degradation issue your talking about either. dont expect something out of a phone if it isnt listed, and for god's sake! your on a phone spec website, couldnt you have bothered to check the specs of the s7 and seen its water resistant?

It's a 1gb+ update... moreThanks for the head up on January security patch, my phone just got updated & so far so good, as for the battery life, my 2 years old A71 can still last me a good 16 hours usage with about 20% balance before I plug in .
Can't wait for Android 12 update hopefully by end of Q1 2022

I got the phone in September 2019 (or whereabouts).
Since January 2022, I've been having display issues. It is known that AMOLED screens run into display and software issues after a couple of time.
I do not recommend you buying this phone if you plan on using it for 2+ years. Other than that, everything is perfect: performance, stability, durability. The major downside is that Samsung has not yet made any statement about the LED Display issue. (Makes the screen have a green tint below 15% brightness)

Sadly the Galaxy A71 is not one of them. You should have ordered yours with a case.

If it’s becoming problematic, try taking your phone to a repair shop. If problems persist after that, consider getting a new phone.
