Samsung Galaxy A72 4G in for review

Samsung's Galaxy A line has been a runaway success since it got revamped two years ago. And this year the distance between the premium Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy A72 is as small as ever.
The Galaxy A72 has a high-refresh rate AMOLED screen, stereo speakers, IP68 protection, a quad camera and a big battery - there's an uncompromising package if we ever saw one.
We have the Snapdragon 720G-powered Galaxy A72 4G at the office today. It comes with a 25W charger and USB cable. We wish Samsung would bundle a case with its Galaxy A series phones, though, but odds are next year we won't even get a charger so we are not holding our breath.

But as far as phones without cases go - the Galaxy A72 is one of the best-looking, without a doubt. If you forgo the glossy Black model, you'll have a lovely matte-finished phone in either White, Violet or this Awesome Blue.
The frame is glossier than the rear panel, which takes away a bit of the allure, but the feel of the Galaxy A72 in the hand is just lovely.
It is a big phone, though, so consider carefully where your comfort lies - a smaller option would be the Galaxy A52 4G, which has a shorter and narrower overall frame and matching specs.

But going big nets you a big screen. In this case it's a lovely 6.7-inch Super AMOLED of 90Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A52 5G, on the other hand, gets a faster 120Hz screen, along with a zippier Snapdragon 750G chipset. We fully expect to see a Galaxy A72 5G with the same specs later on.

The camera setup covers all bases with a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide snapper and an 8MP 3x zoom unit. You get a bonus 5MP macro snapper as well.

Capping the no-compromise package off is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging, which should provide ample runtime. We'll discuss all of that and more in our full review, stay tuned!

A72's telephoto zoom isn't used at 3x zoom for photos. Telephoto Lens is used only after 15x zoom. But in video mode it correctly uses telephoto lens. I have checked by covering lens at all mode. Is anyone having such bug??
