this phone is very nice.. honestly speaking..
i m just a fan of samsung..
since i bought galaxy y 3years ago.
i used many phns like galaxy y, grand 1 2, core, s dous 1 2 3
galaxy j7 and a7..
i was very happy with all full satisfied..
and this phn is also great.. no cons at all..
but price 30000 k rs.
its too high for specs offered..
no ir blaster. no water resitance. ni 4k recording.
proccessor is same as last a7.

phone is good no dought. but prixe is too high..
atlist 22 to 24000 is enough price..

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 about 3 months back. Its a great phone and I love the superb battery backup it gives. The looks of the black one are amazingly premium and I love it. But since the last month or so, the USB OTG has stopeed working. It was working absolutely fine since the day I bought it. The phone is not getting detected on any laptop (Windows Vista or Windows 7). I tried the following steps already:

1. A new data cable - no go
2. Downloaded and installed the samsung_usb_driver_for_mobile_phones_v1.5.49.0 and checked - No Go
3. Downloaded and installed Samsung Smart Switch - No Go
4. Downloaded the Samsung Kies 3.0 software - No Go
5. Dialled *#0808# and changed to USB Mode CP with MTP+ADB - No Go

Is there anything I missed ? Please let me know before I get into the hassle of taking it to a service centre.

I am in New Delhi, India.

Jasim here, 08 Jun 2016I am not a heavy user i just need the assistance the batter... moreThe two things asked by you in this phone is great. I'm a bit heavy user,and my battery remains for full day. (6 hrs of screen on time). It's around 5 hrs in note 5. The sound quality is decently good. I will give 7.5 out of 10 for overall performance.
