I have been using the A8 for more than a month. The good things about this phone are: battery is excellent, screen display is decent, good looks and sleek (not too heavy for its size), external memory option and fingerprint scanner works very well.
The BIGGEST PROBLEM is the LAG. I use the phone extensively for office email, browsing, regular apps like fb, ola, etc. and the phone's performance slows down significantly. I was an iphone 5 series user earlier, and I find that it takes a lot of time for apps to open in the A8. I think the 2 GB RAM is just not enough, i wish they had made it atleast 3GB RAM (the one-plus two priced lower has 4 GB RAM). Also the camera is just ok, nothing fancy great.
If you are a heavy user using email, fb, etc. then you may look for better options in the same price range.

My Galaxy A8 easy to heat up when streaming video (YouTube,Twitch) and make the phone uncomfortable to holds but when I play games like Vainglory, Asphalt 8, temperature lower than the temperature when streaming video.
What I can do, is it normal phone heats up real fast when streaming video and it drains battery like 18-22 percents battery per hour. Or is this happen because bad software ? I have checked all running apps, disabled all unnecessary bloatware.

Highly recommended, no need to spend extra bucks for flagships like S6 or note 5 this phone does a pretty good job at a reasonable price.

terrible experience. In three days time screen became coloured. I am told by service centre that it got pressed by hand so screen is upset from its place.Samsung does not cover this as warranty and will charge 8000 Rupees! new phone cost 25900 Rupees. Sick experience,will never buy it from Samsung again.

Feeling happy and lucky by buying this device it realy competes with s6 and note 5 plys its cheap than s6 (poor battery phone) and note 5(issue with boltware)
