Yes, A8 has fast charging.
And yes, a8 will get android pie around april 2019.

We have our own bakery and he just needs something good, after he's overused the Galaxy A3.
IP68 is perfect for when we go on holidays, 3,000mAh battery should do it, far more durable back is fine, front camera seems great, and that's about it.
I also thinked about this, and it turns out for some stuff it's A8 to go.
I just have a few questions:
Does it support fast/quick charge,since this has USB Type - C, and will it get android 9 with one UI in the future?
If so, what date and when?

trajcevasilev94, 27 Dec 2018A7 2018 or A8 2018?A7 (2018) or A8 (2018)? Difficult to answer, personally I choose A8 (2018) because its exterior quality and IP68. I do not need the dual cameras. My budget is more or less equal with A8 (2018).
If you have more money, choose A9 (2018), or S9 (the price is going down in near future).

The weakness are: Galaxy A8 (2018) may have "so yesterday" design and has no OIS in the rear camera (For your information, OIS is just for flagship phones, and go for S7/S8/S9). How about wireless charging? Come on...is it important?

I've been using this phone since October. I think this is the best midrange device available right now. Here are some pros & cons I noticed.
Pros
* Vivid and bright display
* Always on display
* Smooth performance
* Good selfie camera
* UI and software support (running Dec 2018 secuirity patch already)
* Easy to use with one hand
* Great battery life (over 7 hours SOT with average use+ AOD On)
Cons
* Lack of OIS
* No slow motion recording available
Recommended hands down.

In my opinion it is better than Security update October 2018 and August 2018. Voice over internet (such as Whatsapp), voice over mobile network, etc is better. The phone is getting little bit warm (not hot) quickly but also getting coller quickly. I am satisfied.

Problems with VoWIFI not resolved in latest update. First seconds you are not heard, then the call suddenly ends.

The version SM-A530FZKDDBT sold in Germany seems to be the dual sim version. Samsung Chat told me there is no single sim version of this smartphone, so maybe the information here on gsmarena is wrong.

The A8 camera for me is all fine. Front camera are great. Rear camera is ok. But many people says, a8 camera is not good comparing with the A7 or A6+ or s7.
I have see many review camera comparison between a8 and it's not that very different.
