Samsung Galaxy A8 Star gets Wi-Fi certification

Ivan, 15 May 2018

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has received Wi-Fi certification, suggesting an imminent launch.

As per usual, the filing for a certificate (be it Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) doesn't reveal too much - in this case we see that the Galaxy A8 Star will have dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac and that it will launch on Android 8.0.

The model number also reveals that it will come in dual SIM flavor - SM-G885DS.

Luckily we have previous leaks to know more about the specs - the recent TENAA listing revealed the Galaxy A8 Star will have a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED of 1080x2220px resolution, a dual 16MP+24MP camera on the back and a 24MP one on the front.

It will have a 3,700mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and be powered by either an Exynos 7885 or Snapdragon 660.
