for transfering contacts you can import them by enter contact-press menu button- more- import/export-import from sim card.

Hi I just bought this phone. I cannot seem to transfer contacts from simcard, have got all pictures and music though?? Also how do I stop the wifi screen popping up all the time?? Cheers for your time :)

Still use Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (I8160XXMD4), no root. Until now this firmware works fine. If I open Chrome then browse YouTube website and watch it (streaming), sometimes this device bad lag. No notification SMS is a bug.

i forgot to tell u that u must have installed kies (UsbFlash disk) in order that Odin3 will recognize your phone!

well u need to downoad first JB MB2 OR MB4 leaked (mb2/mb4 has 2 files) and the PIT file is the third file to repartition your ram in order to have 624 ram and flash it with Odin3 (remember in odin when flasing the first time select the case with RE-Partition,Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time), u will find a tutorial on Xda-forums or on Youtube!

If u have installed the Mb2 or Mb4 then u should flash the JB UK with Odin3 (remember here u must select only the cases with the Auto reboot and F.reset time) and insert the Pda file only! then start! And finaly do a hard reset after u have installed the JB UK!

Rickrina, 02 Jun 2013Guys i think i want to buy this phone next week, so i want ... moreGalaxy Ace 2 is a good phone. From my experience using this device, better stay in Gingerbread (2.3.6) than you upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
Here are my reasons:
1. Jelly Bean 4.1.2 consumes many RAMs, it gives you little free RAM only
2. I don't know wether you will get official Jelly Bean at your place or not. The official Jelly Bean Portugal has still a bug. It lags,include typing in messaging. I still remembered, AnTuTu score was around 3.000, below 3.900.
3. I had upgraded official Jelly Bean at my country (I8160XXMD4 version). Typing is fast, but sometimes streaming YouTube faces bad lag that make me almost can't stop the YouTube, even you press home button or on/off button (the pictures are stuck but sound and voice is running)
4. Now, the notification of SMS (native message) has gone. It can't display delivery report, and no sound, only vibrate that works
Before upgrade to Jelly Bean, still using Gingerbread, all of I did was very good, no lag when streaming YouTube, SMS notification worked fine.

Very slow sms & crashes every time I push phone just a little bit running several app's.
Have to "double tap" a lot for it to register a link or page etc.
I'm gona try to get a GBread version or return it.
Keep the feedback coming guys.

ACEr, 02 Jun 2013can you post their message here?I asked it at Samsung service center at SM calamba laguna. They told me.that we dont have a chamce.to get that update. I'm very disappointed.
